Community basically took the same idea to the most absurdist extreme possible, which worked for me (I realize some people thought it was too much).

You're not alone. I find Prison Break-In to be a weak episode. It feels uninspired, possibly due to the high number of callbacks. This show is usually good with the callbacks, but they work to lesser effect in this ep. For some reason, they just aren't that funny this time.

Isn't it strange and funny that Bryan Cranston also fits into this category now?

He's just a narcissist that's too self-involved to see the truth.

Thanks. Why is it not the best place to start? If the writing style is good or clever, that's usually good enough for me. Literary prose is what hooks me most of the time, although I do read other type of books and for other reasons.

Game of Thrones. I'm enjoying it for the most part. I find Ned's sleuthing plot boring so far. I hope it picks up once Ned gets in deeper. TV Ned Stark really benefited from being played by Sean Bean. On page, he's kinda dull. The Daenerys bits, I find hokey.

Sherlock Holmes! I love, love those stories. You might like Chesterton's Father Brown mysteries as well. They're very different… they're philosophical detective stories, I suppose. But very enjoyable.

Anyone read Tales of Neveryon? Yesterday I saw it in a secondhand bookstore. I've never read Delaney, but I know he's one of the greats. Should I get the book?

No mention of the return of Annyong?

I enjoyed the Watchmen movie. That doesn't mean I think it's a good movie. I don't hate it, but I hate specific aspects of it, especially Dan and Laurie suddenly being transformed into badass superheroes.

I have a similar story! In my case, it involves a lavish hardcover edition of The Annotated Alice. And months later, I got it back in the mail.
