He's really not.

You're 6'5"? Gosh.

Thank you. Sometimes when I think about my family history, I'm a little boggled that all this stuff actually happened.

My brother has been diagnosed with metastasized lung cancer. He's been told he'll have about 2 years with chemo. We aren't close but I feel bad for my mom - this'll be the fifth child she's lost. (Well, he's not a child but you know what I mean!)

I hope they can find out what's wrong quickly.

Shit, I hope my Canadian citizenship comes through soon!

I throw some picante sauce in the ground beef (after it's mostly cooked) and it usually turns out really well. And now I want tacos.

I think my dream house would be one of those big four-squares I see in historic districts. Lots of woodwork, large rooms, lots of windows that are centered on the wall, and everything appropriately proportioned.

I always look for dust catching areas in homes (not that I ever buy any). When I'm trying to get to sleep at night, sometimes I visualize my dream house and all the instructions I would give the architect. It's very soothing.

That Long Island McMansion is hideous. There's no other word for it.

Yup. That's what was happening in Dallas. (Probably still is, I just don't live there anymore.)

There's a bunch of them here, but the one closest to me is always dirty when I have gone in. I actually really like the food but man, it gets noisy in there sometimes.

I really prefer Asimov's short stories. I have two collections of these and have read them several times.

Agreed. I just buy Ore-Ida tater tots, and bake them at least 2 minutes past recommended baking time so they are nice and crispy.

Sonic's tater tots make me sick. I think because they are fried. I do love tater tots baked in the oven, though.

I read it as time travel mug and I was very intrigued.

Yeah, me too - liked the first one, couldn't finish the second.

I read Herodotus in college and I thought he was extremely readable. I can't speak to his accuracy because it's not my field, but I remember really liking it.

I can't explain why but I didn't like it - and I did like (for the most part) Special Topics in Calamity Physics.

I didn't explicate it as well as you did, but that's basically what I was thinking.
