I'm looking forward to Stiletto when I can get it from the library. I did enjoy The Rook a lot, but I think there must have been a chapter from Stiletto at the end of The Rook, because I think I knew that Myfanwy is not the main character in Stilletto.

When I read The Martian, it was one of those books that I could see on the screen. It was written very cinematically but it's one of the few that I do any kind of visualization at all.

My biggest problem is not being able to visualize something described on a page. They can go into great detail, like telling you all about the building or ship (I read a lot of military sci-fi) and if they don't include a diagram or floor plan I'm completely lost.

That buzzer thing was bugging me. He really did jump a little every time. And every time he was going to pick a clue he leaned forward and peered at the screen (?) - the clues haven't changed in the seconds since your last answer, you know!

I completely agree. I didn't know either of those answers and generally speaking, even if I don't come up with the answer, when they say I have heard of it, but not those two.
