I dunno about the other 2, but yeah, Aladdin is HIGHLY problematic. Biggest problem: you can rank the non-blue characters from good to evil based *entirely* on skin tone.

I dunno that you have to think Starship Troopers is "smart" - the satire isn't subtle. I like it because it draws a direct line between modern action blockbusters and fascist propaganda, and it's enjoyable on both levels. It's relentlessly on-point and very well-made.

The point, at least for me, is to realize how much I love all the movies on this list that I have seen, and then get excited that there are (for me) 9 more movies that are just as good that I get to watch.
