David Tennant should definitely be on here and every other best of list.

I liked Adam Driver. I liked Kylo Ren's patrician electronic voice more. But the actor looks nothing like Han/Leia and the faux-Darth-Vader thing doesn't make much sense to me. It pretty much sums up the entire movie to me: to quote Clueless, it's a Monet — from far away it's one of the most gorgeous things you've…
A friend of mine said it well: "Harrison Ford didn't show up for this. Han did."
Agreed! I think you're right — an hour before sounds safe. Thanks.
Oh you got reserved seating, didn't you? You bastard.
Kips Bay. IMAX 3D. The 2:45 show….
Tomorrow in NYC. Anyone have a sound hypothesis on how early to get there to get relatively decent seats? I'm in a group of 4.
Zing!! But actually not the definition of 'negative space.' I was thinking more of the beautiful ferris wheel sequence in the pilot that while being a homage to 'The Third Man' was probably the most visually stunning thing I saw on television this year. And in the negative space. But in terms of pacing, I thought Mr.…
TERRIERS!!!
It should have been included. But it got a third season!!
I dunno … there's a lot of magical hacking in modern television but Mr. Robot stands pretty well on its own. It's one of the few shows on television that actually grants that hacking is a huge time commitment. Not to mention it's visually stunning. It's a master class in negative space and mis en scene.
You know season 3 was bad when not a single person on avclub is willing to put Arrow in their best of TV this year. It's too bad because there's so much talent on that show. But yeah … season 3. And a couple things in 4.
"Eh, who gives a shit. It's a better story with seagulls. . . "
Of all the comedies on television this year, Galavant always made me the happiest. Even the memory of the jousting episode makes me laugh. Yeah, I can't believe we're getting a second season either.
Did you read his Vanity Fair interview? He has a great line. Something like 'I think what the show is really about is how difficult it is sometimes to be a human.'
SAME.
I know everyone loves the 'LCD Soundsystem' episode but to me it's the weakest and felt like an episode of Portlandia that should have been called 'Hipster Stalking.'
'30 Rock' on Netflix and the pick a random Simpson episode on the FX now app are my go-to's when I have a half hour to spare.
I got two of my alpha male "lifetime is for women who want to cry" friends into UnReal and they are both now total fanboys for it, Rachel and Quinn. It was my pop culture accomplishment of the year.
I thought 'Fortitude' belonged on this list (outside of the top 10) if only for all the genres they were combining into a single show and it's gorgeous cinematography.
