It's not even in the same class as Secretary. This is fanfiction, poorly written fanfiction that actually does disservice to the community its supposed to represent.
I think you could argue the politics of it but as for terrible or clumsy, nah. This movie is plotted pretty perfectly (you reach the middle cart at the exact half of the movie, for example) and rolls right along.
