It's not really replacing anything at midseason (that term is usually reserved for shows that launch pilots then) so much as waiting until midseason to revamp itself and relaunch, hopefully improved.

It's not a spoiler if the episode has already aired.
er oops
Mr Jay had me so confused I posted wrong. He was talking about multiple celebrity chasers, and referring to them as paparazzo. When more than one paparazzo are paparazzi. Right?
Paparazz(e-i-e-i-o)?
Anyone else get irritated when Mr. Jay seemed to think that the plural of paparazzo was paparazzi, and not the other way around?
Because everyone has a title in Tyraland. And Nigel's is "Noted Fashion Photographer" (occasionally with "sexy" thrown in somewhere for good measure).
This is part of what you accept when you come to visit Tyraland.
Maybe she wants her fingers to look like they've been dipped in Miami.
Hey, I like Emily Deschanel. I think she's unusual looking, but certainly not by any means ugly. I also think she's a pretty good actress, and certainly better than David Boreanaz (who is more conventionally attractive).
One more thing…
Can I just say how happy I am that the AV Club is covering Doctor Who regularly now? Hurrah! I'd call for three cheers, but I think it deserves more…
I take it you didn't watch ESPN's coverage. They did the kind of coverage this year that I'd come to expect from NBC in years past, except that it started getting repetitive what with that stupid Pork Chop piggybank. Leave the celebrities alone, or show them just during the hat montage, forget the guy who's having a…
I'm definitely going to have to agree with you on your last point. We have at least one human (the Doctor's companion) in every episode, so if you must have homo sapiens drama, have *her* get in trouble in the alien world/timeline, then pull her out of trouble in the human/earthy worlds where other people can be in…
I'm assuming that by MessageTM, the TM stands for TyraMark.
I agree, Anya wins by default. I like Whitney because she seems fairly bright and like she's not buying fully into TyraWorld, and because she's normal-sized, but there's something in her attitude that puts me off.
Dominique is just frightening, and Fatima…
Or how about Margot Adler, from Justice Talking. Man, they've had some good debates on that show.
Oooh, Studio 360 is great too.
Rule 4 is as old as the hills
The rule "don't make dessert" comes straight from the previous seasons, all the way back to the first few episodes of season one.
Also, scallops can fairly easily be screwed up, if the chef doesn't know how they cook — if raw in the middle or overcooked, they're fairly nasty. So I'm gonna…
Yes, but chefs MUST. that's the definition of a chef, the chief of the kitchen. They are, by virtue of job description, leaders.
yeah, it really is good. Of course, it's Vince Gilligan, so that didn't surprise me. Brian Cranston kind of did, but pleasantly — he's great on the show.
How is that different from the Bravo audience?
also he was exec producer
on Michael Clayton…the man left a pretty impressive oeuvre.
Eh, I like Supernatural too. It's a very different show from Reaper, but I'd say it's in the tiny pantheon of good CW shows.
yeah, and Tre (a black dude) was widely considered one of the best contestants in his season. Incidentally, last week I saw him on Iron Chef. Good stuff.
