That man is so…
…hot he almost makes me wish I was a homersexual

Two slices of toast: that is either one of the finest coincidences of all time OR you listen to a certain radio show of extremely high quality. Which is it?

Ahh yeahhh mutha fuckas'! (To the Yo La Tengo version)

And I have listened to a fucking lot of fucking SMiLE mixes.

Don't want to be a troll here as I already said this topwise of this post but, the Purple Chick mix of SMiLE is where it's all at. Dennis said in the late 60s that SMiLE made Pet Sounds sound like it stinked and based on this lovingly recreated from bootlegs mix (in the song order and song arrangement of the 2004

Before I read this I was going to say 'Farmer's Daughter' or anything from the 'Love You' album as it's scary as all get out. Plus as the person below said, the Yo La Tengo version of the former is excellent.

Well observed Horse Enthusiast, the same could of course be said of any artiste and although it is often the case, in general with DOOM, his rhymes are so very much more than that.

What is it…
…that makes old technology consumed now knowingly as old just as good as it was when it came out, but the same technology released now as new seem dated and simply embarrassing?

Where the shit are the two Lukid albums, Flying Lotus and the Analord series?

I accept all that about Mr. Caine, but I think he's got more dignity than say Burt Reynolds. Can you imagine The Dark Knight with BR as Alfred?

Could also be Michael (Children of Men) Caine.

Kermit the Frog…
…would make a great host

The answer to both questions is that either he knows things about people OR he gives great head.

This movie is dated. Fucking dated actually. It's student level in it's depth and I actually found it amusing when I watched it that people took it so seriously.

And another thing, the 'blacked-up,' 'whited-up' thing from that same episode was also in 'The Sarah Silverman Show' not so long ago.

Oh yeah, another example of old Simpson's jokes in '30 Rock': in the Oprah episode, Tracy (Treacy?) and that blonde chick's reaction after mediation by the girl who Tina Fey thought was Oprah was stolen from the Brad Goodman episode of 'The Simpsons.'

@ Sequence: it doesn't count as trying to gain hipster-cred if I'm actually from the part of the world where the show is from you pre-judgemental knob-child.

Created by Tina Fey…
…should say created by Matt Goening, I watched 30 Rock recently for the first time and it's moderately funny and Alec Baldwin is impressive. But it's mostly old Simpsons jokes or jokes i've seen done elsewhere as funny or funnier. Plus most of the guests are terrible, e.g. Steve Martin.

Cheapness…
…is why I've abandoned this series wholesale for Street Fighter, it's just too frustratingly easy to get your ass handed to you by someone who just manically mashes the buttons with their hooves.

The best ones…
…are the ones where they are ripping off wholesale the classic hard-boiled fiction of the early 20th Century, especially Hammett and Chandler. The winner is easily 'Miller's Crossing,' arguably more enjoyable than actually reading 'Red Harvest.'
