There are many iterations of the soundtrack. Just download the five (or is it six?) disc version, see if you like and then if you do you buy it for real from some shady individual on eBay, and if not just make a playlist of the good stuff.

Get anything as soon as you can. I put off buying the remix set in region 2 and now I'm reduced to getting the region 1 version and although I do have a multi-region DVD player, I prefer using my PS3 (it's a much better DVD player) and you can't hack that (easily) to make it multi-region.

To be honest I didn't realise that both were written by the same guy. The reason is that I didn't watch much of Downton Abbey because it was boring and Gosford Park was only OK. That's kind of worse though as that just means Fellowes is just repackaging his old stuff.
