I really think this review understates how wonderful and moving this gem of a film is. It's not built on big dramatic moments or deft plotting but on moments that are truly warm and romantic. It's been a while since I've rooted for a couple like this and that mainly has to do with the lead performances (seriously Khan

But what made the show stand out at the start was its warm portrayal of a small town. Leslie giving up Pawnee would be way too cynical and depressing considering its an important part of her drive and personality.

I was honestly so impressed by these two episodes. I also think it answers people who say that Parks is unrelentingly optimistic. I think Schur and his team of writers are more than clear about what they have to say about politics.

Andy Samberg (or his character) is still a problem for me. Thankfully he has lots of great cast members to work off but when he was on his own with a new character this episode, I barely cracked a smile. Samberg's comedic style is too broad. He still feels like he's playing an SNL character.

But Ron is ingratiated with the gang. He's not an outsider.

The Fringe pilot was fantastic. Also that opening was extremely chilling. Once the opening titles rolled in, I knew I was in.

I can't wait! I thought season 5 was a very solid season. The peaks of season 2 and 3 are amazing but no show can sustain that forever.

Honestly can someone tell me how to access the TV reviews section? Each time I go on to AV Club and I see if there's a section called TV Reviews and I can't find it. So instead, I rely on articles like these to click on that section link.

For a reasonably big business, shouldn't they just have gotten Nick Offerman as Ron Swanson to act in their commercial? Ron Swanson is an internet celebrity and they would have gotten more positive press.

Ok now I can't see anyone else. Andrews would be perfect!

I honestly don't remember this kind of scene in the books at all. Actually all this stuff comes off much better in the books. Dany comes  off as both warm, big hearted and a little ruthless, so there isn't the more obvious 'nice white lady' subtext going on. Also the 'brown' skinned people aren't so subservient. It

There's also a pleasing drabness in the visual look of the show. The cast wears dull colors and the lighting is darker and it looks more real. In the later seasons, the lighting of the show became as bright as a multi-camera sitcom. People don't appreciate these details in a comedy show but the visuals also really

I think people gave a free pass to season 3 but a lot of its episodes are quite bad. It's definitely not as bad as the show in season 4 but many of the storylines weren't working (especially Troy being caught between the plumbing and air conditioning repair schools) and Abed's character became a more uncomfortable

I clicked on it expecting something interesting - Instead it's a terribly written piece that makes absolutely no sense at all.

I love this show and one aspect of it that seriously deserves to be mentioned is the set decoration. It's so rare to see a house on TV actually looking like a house people live in. Clothes strewn on the couch, food items lying around, the Christmas tree that stayed up for several weeks after Christmas…It adds so much

It's so strange that this season, Parks & Rec provided a bigger pop culture riff/moment than Community with this Star Wars bit.

A lot of superhero movies have been stripping the racial aspects of their villain characters. Batman did it with Ra's Al Ghul. The Dark Knight with Bane. Iron Man 3 with Mandarin. And now Star Trek with Khan.

I really get the feeling Shield will flop. Sure it will open big but it's still sci-fi/fantasy television at the end of the day and that will make it hard to hold on to viewers. I also think atleast based on the trailer that the product will not be up to snuff. The dialogue is awful, the acting is terrible and it has

More than 50% of the tv viewing audience is made up of shifting audiences i.e people who just tune in randomly to programmes rather than religiously following shows. It's clear that CBS with most of its dramas and comedies following an episodic rather than serialized structure serves casual viewers very well. It's

That Game of Thrones/Parks & Rec plot mashup is one of the few times something on Entertainment Weekly is worth reading.
