It's the sets, I think—they don't seem very ~expansive~. Like Tim Burton's 'Sleppy Hollow', it's like you're constantly aware of the walls.

Me too, but Julia Roberts did make me laugh. I may've been forcing it, though. (and let's not assume the 'gritty' one is going to be good just because they put a lot of 'cool moments' in the trailer. See: Sucker Punch)

"These niggas soundin like hoes they mad they not in my shoes…"

I think Tyler's comment is a writer-ly way of covering both. Before he even said anything, I was asking myself if she was even going to bother pretending to work, but in a meta, overall way, it's kind of a universal nod to the that fact that her job is simply inconsequential.

Yeah, it's for Christmas, plus, the movie made a lot this summer, so this is going to go down as a big year for them. Business business business. Plus you can still buy digital versions, so only people who are already pirating will have to resort to piracy (not judging).

Resident Evil Afterlife cost 60 mil to make, and grossed 60 mil domestic. It grossed over 200 million dollars overseas. This is why he keep getting work. (full disclosure: I think the resident evil movies are godforsaken pieces of shit).

If it helps: I watched the pilot, then skipped to season two, which fucking FLIES. Now I'm on board. The pilot isn't all that, though. I just like to know where things start, and so starting from there might help, but, season two completely knows what it's doing, and so on.

Yeah, my big hope was that they'd start to establish the relationship between Bonnie and her dad, because I really like Bonnie, or, maybe just see the potential, and there is so much they can do with her, instead of just making her the girlfriend with super powers. (I also find that she's the most logical, the least

hey:

I've seen this all, more than once, but I was thinking you could consistently mark the Speaking with the Fishes section as being spoilers, for people who are just jumping in, and don't realize what they're getting into.

Making your protagonist essentially unstoppable is a buzzkill, so, in including that, the sequels kind of doomed themselves. I mean, he stops bullets, and that shit was in the trailer, so we knew he'd always be okay, and we knew there was going to be a third film. This is the kind of stuff MADE for home video perusal.

Everything slow happens in the first hour. No way of knowing if you'll 'like' what comes next, but everything essential about the film (aside from the Smith burly brawl) happens later in the film.

Okay, bear with me, if you can. I rewatched the first couple films recently, and I feel a lot of the heart—a lot of the differentness Neo feels, that they all feel—is a lot of the Lana Watchowski stuff being explained in a way we can all relate to. It's so, so good, in that respect, beyond the action, and the awesome

Yes, to the last bit. I don't know about the first part, though.

Yeah, the line-delivery of Fred saying she hurts is really well done. But her furiously scrubbing blood out of that sweater is funny stuff.

They don't spend much time together, but it might be that Stefan essentially 'belongs' to Rebekah, now that he is not himself.

I agree, best episode of the season, and the first time I was really convinced of the whole Damon Elena thing. I felt feelings for them, and was genuinely bummed out when Stefan came in to ruin it. Jeremy and Katherine will likely prove a humorous duo, as well.

Me, too. Also, Andrew is like a puppy to me. I don't see how people hate him.

Some may argue Carrie, as well. Sad truth: I have never seen the Shawshank Redemption!

Very true. The Shining is the only example of me reading the book and simply wishing I was watching the movie.
