Yeah, she liked the chance for Scully to be shown shooting big guns. But that's really all the episode has going for it. I love seeing a kick-ass Scully. But you, in real-life.

This is true. I remember reading that FC was bad, and I was all, "Psssh, right. This is 'The X-Files'. Mulder is in it. It can't be like season 9." Nope. FC sucked. It sucked so hard, I thought s9 was better.

I watched "First Person Shooter" all the way through, and thought it was stupid, but at least amusing. UNTIL that stupid ending, with terrible-CGI-sexy-Laura-Croft-Scully. Wut?

It's strange, but I think it is entirely Greg Daniels that is fixing this show. When it ends, I think this season will be on-par with s5 or s6 (maybe more in the middle). Man, he left the show after s4 and the show just went into a tail-spin. Then suddenly, he comes back and the quality is bumped back up quite a bit.

This was a step up from "Lice". I'm happy with the new season, I really am; it's eons better than s8, and I'd say it'll probably end up better than s6 once they start the farewell arc. There's something about the closure this season that makes me really want to tune in each week.

That would've been really dark. Like, Mulder would visit her every once and awhile in a mental institution. Then again, in s4, they gave Scully cancer, so it probably would have fit, tonally, into the show.

To be honest, I never thought it sucked as much as others apparently did. Granted, I didn't think it was good, mostly because it was playing the "LOL video games LOL" angle a bit too much, but it was entertaining watching Mulder and Scully fire over-sized guns.

Oh yeah, I guess that makes sense. Interesting idea; I can buy it!

That episode is the "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" of "The X-Files" franchise. It never happened.

Oh God, are they considering that plot? I just want them to show the aliens invading, and Mulder and Scully being badasses. Unfortunately, it will probably revolve around William… So it could be stupid.

I agree. Season 3 is easily the show's best season, but season 6 has some real big stand outs ("Triangle", "Drive", "The Unnautral", "Field Trip", etc.) and some seriously awesome mythology episodes ("Two Fathers"/"One Son"). It does indeed get a bad rap just because it happens to have several humorous episodes,

Is that the: "With all due respect, what the **** is he talking about?"

I agree. I actually like "Theef". It's pretty generic as far as MOTWs go, but its creepy, and Billy Drago is really good in it.

Oh man… I love that episode. Really good stuff!

Maybe it's just me… and I've said it before, but I've never felt Mulder didn't believe in God, just that he held organized religion in contempt.

I forgot about "Je Souhaite". While I don't think it's as good as "X-Cops", I do agree that it is really good stuff.

I'd argue that this is the last really great MOTW that "The X-Files" ever did. The show tried to come close, with "Hollywood AD" down the road. and "Roadrunners" and "Redrum" in s8, but this is really the last of the best of the best, IMHO.

Oh many, I loved that. It's as if she was saying, "Bitch, please. I've seen worse. Suck it up."

And I pretty much agree with AndThatsChurchYoForReal as well.

Not really. No one in the office listens to Dwight in "Lice" either. They focus almost all of their attention on Erin, who knows what she's doing.
