This was a pretty good episode. I agree that the first part of the first act felt a little off, especially the cold opening (which, probably more so than any of the other times) felt like a gag written for Michael that Andy was stuck with.

That could be. He always was that type of person. I think the rest of the office just wanted to give Andy some crap. You know, tease him.

It wasn't criticized for having the drama, it was criticized for having "drama" that took two episodes.

I think it was a joke referring to Kevin's turtle.

The show was criticized last year for NOT having Jim/Pam drama…
Now it needs less?

I thought this was the best episode of the season so far. Some of the minor subplots (like the Clark and Pete bit) were not super essential, but they at least made me smile.

I feel people give you a harsh time. I mean, you gave the episode a "B". That's pretty good.

I agree. And all the people who claim he has become "Michael Scott 2.0" (at least in this current season) have apparently failed to watch season 3 of the show.

I loved the "New Jim, Tuna" line. If Jim is "Tuna", why is there a need for "New". I loved that bit! So Erin. :) Ellie Kemper is the bomb.

Actually, I noticed a lot of parallels with "The X-Files":
Both had their last two season without their lead (sorta, "X-Files" had Mulder in half of season 8).
Both started as "cult favorites" and ballooned into full-fledged hits for their struggling stations.
Both are ending on their 9th season.
Both are considered to…

I agree. If Robert California and Nellie had been realistic bosses who were kind of cold and not very fun, I think season 8 would have turned out A LOT better, California especially.
