I think you meant VI.  Heroes IV, however, is the only game in the series that I ever played, and I was way too young to know what the fuck was going on.  It was still a ton of fun, though.

I don't know about "better," but I do really like Batman Begins.  Definitely more overtly flawed than TDK, but in my mind it does justice to the character's origin on the same level as Batman: Year One.

I also liked X-2 a lot - the "death" of Jean Grey didn't feel tacked on at all to me, since I assumed they were gearing up for the third movie to be an awesome version of the Phoenix Saga.  And then Brett Ratner happened.
