The way that the existence of a secret, highly resourceful, widespread organization like the Dollhouse makes sense to me is that it is essentially the offshoot of the R+D branch of a massive corporation (Rossum). The show hasn't really addressed the origins of the DH besides some hints and offhand remarks, but I

My understanding is that the Nielsen's are still the predominate ratings system that the networks use, though things like DVR recordings and Hulu/iTunes are factored into some of the calculations. Sites like tvbythenumbers.com that give breakdowns of TV ratings do so based on Nielsen.

Don't worry forget-it-jake, unless you have a Nielsen box you are actually helping the show more by watching it on Hulu.

Sure TRJ: It would have been very boring and out-of-place for the writers to throw in the explanation of how the professor could afford a doll, and they instead decided to focus on the story and themes they wanted to illustrate, and ask the audience to trust that there was an explanation.

Maybe all network shows with Band of Brothers alums are destined to get cancelled: Life (Damian Lewis - NBC), Southland (that one dude - NBC), Boomtown (Donnie Wahlberg - NBC), Standoff (Ron Livingston - Fox), probably more that I can't think of. Guess that means Fringe is next unfortunately.

Well said SimpleGreen. Even Kath & Kim, with all its inherent complete shittiness, was not Leno. Southland was definitely not great, and I'm not all that sad to see it go, except that it just confirms my understanding of NBC as being run by a bunch of major fuck-ups that have no idea what on earth they are doing.

Is it a possibility that the production of Chuck will be sped up to cover the lack of Southland episodes? Cause that would be good. But I guess since NBC has repeatedly proven to be anti-good, there's probably no chance they'd actually do something I can get behind (As I'm sure the Community cancellation is coming

Krod Mandoon is about 2.5 times better than Drawn Together. Man do I fucking hate Drawn Together.

I'm pretty sure this discussion has occurred at least three times in the past couple weeks.

I always just assumed that "lobbying hard for a role" was a euphemism for sucking dicks for money/drugs. Maybe I wasn't so far off the mark after all.

I nominate Carl Weathers for the Carl Weathers role.

Sing the Greys and Midnight Organ Fight are currently being reworked at the CDC as cures for cancer, AIDS, ebola virus, and death. "Keep Yourself Warm" has been shown to increase penis size and memory.

Can we make it an official policy to refer to Keenan as "Goodburger" from now on? Riff Raff that is a wonderful invention (and one that hopefully puts his current suckitude into perspective).

@TR That's actually pretty much how all my runs go. In my head.

Babe I'm Gonna Leave You is not quite as move-ish as the others, but for some reason that's the one Led Zeppelin song that works best for me. Or really just when the guitar kicks in and shit gets awesome (but I like the slow build for runs too).

Oh hells yes!! I could probably run a biathlon after listening to "Promontory" a couple times. Best score ever.

Bob mother-fucking Seger is fucking awesome. Screw your hipster pass.

Smack My Bitch Up - The Prodigy
The Twist - Frightened Rabbit
Go Go Gadget Flow - Lupe Fiasco
I Wanna Be Your Dog - The Stooges
100 Little Curses - Street Sweeper Social Club
Two Words - Kanye West ft. Mos Def
The Underdog - Spoon

Very Nice
"Henry James meets William Gibson by way of Stephen King" would be one hell of a nerdy (and ugly) orgy. But probably a good book, so I will be adding this to my endless list of shit to read.

Who wants to go see a movie about some shitty Medieval morality play?
