A surprising number of people love to be berated by asshole schticks, and in this day and age, who am I to judge? (Though if God wanted things going up there, why does the poop go out?)

Say what you will about Seth McFarlane, but Family Guy….

Cool Beans
I will definitely be checking this show out, even if I get the sneaking suspicion that it will be a more tame and less interesting version of Lost. Agreed that the characterization in pilots is usually weak, and I kinda think that it took Lost a long time to nail that particular aspect, but this premise

My Level of Maturity?
I am deriving great enjoyment from the term "bibliodick", which is probably all the enjoyment I can expect to get out of this book.

There is only one l in "I hope you get the Ebola virus", but there are two in Ellroy.

I know this is not really related to the points that Noel was making, but 'Memento' was essentially entirely driven by discovering the character's backstory. Except not really. And it rocked hard. So really I have nothing useful to add.

Yeah, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss is pretty awesome, and though I've never really gotten into this show, I still appreciate her talents. And didn't she prove she was funny post-Seinfeld with her guest role on 'Arrested Development'. She was awesome in that (and definitely nothing like Elaine).

The Best Part of This Review
Is that it reminded me that Fringe is now on Thursdays. I had already judged this show to be crap in my petty, closed-minded way, but it's good to see the shout out to Fringe, as I'm sure I would have forgotten. Thanks, Noel!

In defense of Paul Haggis:

Yeah, assholes, we all understand that you don't like Zach Braff. Scrubs, however, is actually a pretty entertaining and unique show, and while it certainly isn't my favorite comedy, it does not objectively suck.

I've pretty much given up on the whole network - SyFy just sounds too fucking dumb for me to watch anything with that watermark in the corner.

Was 'My Own Worst Enemy' really "abysmal"? I never watched it, but I seem to recall it getting decent reviews and some people being mildly irked that it was cancelled. Or maybe that's just how I explained Christian Slater's sudden appearance, disappearance, and reappearance on my TV.

Common has really learned to nail down the role of "tough guy from the streets that likes to fire guns" in his various films. See: Wanted, Street Kings, etc.

Don't call it a comeback
I been here for years
Rockin my peers and puttin suckas in fear

This is just one of those shows that I've prematurely judged, and will probably never be able to watch. The combination of courtroom drama with CBS procedural just has utterly no appeal to me. I doubt I was in their target demographic anyway, but I feel kinda bad after reading such in-depth praise here.

Dennis Hopper in something terrible?
It can't be! He always makes smart choices in the roles he plays! (By the way, Paul Haggis is still awesome, even with Crash. EZ Streets motherfuckers!)

I hear that's a pretty good ATM code as well.

Yeah, I'm actually kind of psyched to get new songs from Bon Iver, Radiohead, Grizzly Bear, etc. Who cares about the movie here anyway?

No, Pancakes, they are doing Celebrity Jeopardy like once a week this year instead of a whole week of it (and yes it was from today). The questions were easy, but still, Richter clearly is a fairly bright dude, and Blitzer is clearly a complete tool. -4600!!!! You're playing for charity, man!

I was almost screaming at the TV "Look around the area dumbasses!! There's bound to be a body somewhere!" Yeah, I might be a little too emotionally invested in TV, but c'mon. After all the shit Peter's been through he's not going to just take a quick look-see?
