Yeah, I went to Michigan and they have a General Studies degree, and tons of the athletes major in that.  I love it when they show the players' majors during football games, and it is the inevitable General Studies for at least half of them.

I would add "The Game" from Star Trek TNG where everyone was playing that awful looking VR game where they manipulated discs into cones using their minds or something, and Wesley came back to save the day for old times' sake.
