I was also a fan of "Marie-France, don't be a bitch".
Somewhere, Bert Cooper's sadly singing "The Best Things in Life Are Free".
I wanted him to yell "THAT'S WHAT THE MONEY IS FOR!" at some point during this episode.
OTHER THOUGHTS
-BSG's final season is up next for me. I'll get back to Veronica Mars when I'm done with that.
VERONICA MARS "Not Pictured" Review (2x22)
“My name is Cassidy.”
Yeah, the Hawks don't look as strong as they used to, especially given Kane is out. I could still see them winning a series against the Preds without him, but it'd be extremely difficult against the Blues. And if Kane were to somehow return for the first round like some rumors say, a series against St. Louis would be…
Yeah, I was pretty sure the Kings were going to find a way to sneak in like they always do, but I'm glad to see that didn't happen this year. I was kind of hoping the Hawks would get another crack at them, but then again, it would be far from a guarantee that they'd both make it to the Conference Finals (I'm hoping…
Her, Whiplash, Django Unchained, Before Midnight, Take Shelter, Snowpiercer, Inception, The Social Network, A Separation, The Act of Killing
I'm surprised Django Unchained couldn't even make the top 100. That was a fantastic movie.
Yeah, that scene was fantastic, and like Alasdair said above, it was one of the darkest scenes of the show. Boyd's "Well, then I have already won" was a gut-punch of a line, so I'm really glad Raylan went back to save Bob. The final line of the episode highlighted a Raylan Givens who wasn't bound by the law, but…
Kurt Sutter: We have musical montages.
"Before you try to seduce me, just know that it's been tried before."
I got the exact same as you. I watch all four of those shows, but Game of Thrones is nowhere near as good as Breaking Bad/Mad Men/The West Wing's Sorkin years (I've been watching season 6, and I'm enjoying it much more than season 5).
It was a good list, but I hope the AV Club has Before Midnight higher than #21. That was a really amazing movie, and it's easily top 10, probably top 5 for me.
I'm usually impressed by how the show can maintain a nice comedy-drama balance, but that final scene does not work for me. Regardless of whether it makes sense or not, the break-up is a huge moment for those characters, and to have Sammi rushing in with a gun at the end is just a bad writing choice, especially because…
VERONICA MARS Season 2….
EPISODE 20: “LOOK WHO’S STALKING”
Also, Keaton dancing in that CNN sketch was hilarious.
Hmm, it seems like my grades are more in line with the AV Club recently. This was probably my favorite episode of the season. It was so bizarre, Keaton was awesome, and I loved it.
I tend to view Justified as a successor of sorts, mainly because of Timothy Olyphant and the amazing dialogue (just without the added benefit of being able to say "cocksucker").
