If you danced to it in the 80s, chances are Rod Temperton was involved in it.
The similarity between Donna's reaction to the IPO and Cam's reaction to the vote to go public last week was striking. Each felt the air ripped right out of themselves. Cameron's look of disgust when seeing Donna in the supermarket was heartbreaking. You could feel the rest of the air rush right out of the room.

I do think it is interesting that in the past long story arcs were seen as a weakness in sitcoms, that the writers were running out of ideas. Now it seems to an indicator of quality.
