I just saw them on Friday at the Capitol Hill Block Party here in Seattle, and they totally killed it. I like the album, and love about 5 or 6 of the songs (especially the first three tracks), but I got goosebumps when I was watching them play. See them if they come near you.

I agree that Oberst's at his best when he stays away from politics and from being too goddamn depressing (ie, Padriac My Prince), but he doesn't seem to be writing too many songs like that these days.
