Almost done with book 6 of The Dark Tower. It's getting a bit repetitive and introducing himself as a character sounds pretty great on paper but hasn't really yielded anything interesting so far. End is in sight though.

The Anthem either just opened or hasn't opened yet so there's probably not a ton of people to offer intel. I heard tickets were unusually expensive though.

You seem to know a lot about it for someone so weirded out by it. Just what the fuck are you trying to pull here, huh?
My favorite thing about cats is if you put anything on the floor, like a bag or paper or whatever, it will lie down on it within 10 minutes and then look around pompously like "This is mine now"
I ctrl+f'd for this. Thanks for coming through.
Was this most recent CBB the one with the riff about Coach Taylor concluding an emotional Friday Night Lights cold opening by looking directly into the camera and saying "Football football football" because that made me laugh really hard.
This is fucking exhausting. Who has the energy to care about this shit anymore.
Well she has about 20 good songs now if you ask me
Stereogum hated it too. Must be divisive.
If someone asked me "what's this Arcade Fire band all about?" that's definitely one of the songs I'd point to. Emotional tear-jerker with a peppy synth line and a shout-along chorus, just perfection.
Idiot
Seems like most people have the opposite opinion of Reflektor. Back half is stacked with some epic jams, and "Afterlife" is one of their best songs. Me, I love the whole thing 'cause I'm a sucker. "Supersymmetry" isn't anything great but the last 5 minutes are just an ambient comedown, I don't even really think of it…
Oh man I had missed news of new Wolf Alice, this is awesome, thanks. They're playing here next month too.
As a deeply stupid, inarticulate person who loves IJ, thank you for this excellent description of why I love it so much.
I mean I don't think you missed anything, it just wasn't for you. There's nothing wrong with that.
6'1", 165-170 or thereabouts. Sounds thin but there's some nascent beer flab I could stand to shed.
Ooh I haven't seen or heard of Nimble Giant, sounds good

R.E.M. - The Flowers of Guatemala
Smashing Pumpkins - Czarina
