Oh wow, you're the first person I've seen with that reaction. That sucks, sorry you're not feeling it. That's my favorite song for sure but I love a lot of the others too, "Lit Me Up" and "451" especially. I think it's just a weird vocal effect.

It's very good
I thought it was okay. Cohen can be annoying but he is a rabid fan of theirs, if anything I was surprised they let him do it.
I'll give it a shot but I'm not optimistic. I rarely have original thoughts so I mostly respond to people and it seems like there will be a lot less people around.
He was a genius, no need to feel embarrassed about it. He just sucks now.
Not you you're good
Jesus christ, shut up
Thanks but I will continue to post here under this name on an old AV Club account
I'm also inexplicably annoyed by their "coverage" of like a random selection of TV shows. They posted the trailer for Nathan for You yesterday. Like the show is amazing, but is this not a music site anymore?
I'm on my first listen, just got to "Same Logic/Teeth" and this is some good shit. Very unsettling opening/opening track.
Yeah, there's no wrong answer but I always come back to this one. It's face-melting.
Having a seemingly large plotline devoted to the Bill Gates impersonator is right up my alley. Can't believe it's been almost 2 years. We deserve this.
I sound like a delusional fanboy (which I am, to be sure) whenever I complain about critics' reaction to the album, but yeah the Pitchfork review in particular was disgraceful. I don't even get the big "cynical" narrative at all.
I could almost enjoy "Chemistry" ironically if it wasn't so goddamn repetitive. I let out a great groan the first time he said "Gonna say it again"
I'll believe it when I hear it. But yeah, fuckin' awesome.
I bought 12-packs of Great Lakes Oktoberfest and Troegs' Hop Knife. Favorite season for beer.
Spoon - Leave Your Effects Where They're Easily Seen
Brand New - Good To Know That If I Ever Need Attention All I Have To Do Is Die
Vampire Weekend - Finger Back
Big Thief - Haley
Depeche Mode - Stripped
Metric - For Kicks
I've tried to get into this because everyone is raving about it but I just can't focus on it as much as it seems to require. My mind wanders too much and I miss one little thing and have to rewind.
I hope we get the chance to find out, since episode 200 is such a nice round number to end it on. :/
It is. Pretty early on, 15-20 minutes maybe.
