Yep they won the auction or whatever
Was at the grocery store last night and saw Dogfish Head Punkin Ale already. So I had to buy it even though it won't be pumpkin beer weather for another 2 months, because the supply will be gone by then. Stupid market demands.
Reading Drew Magary's (of new AV Club sister site Deadspin) new novel The Hike. Not really my usual thing, a very brisk and easy-reading surreal/magic realist page-turner but I like it a lot. He keeps RTing people that say the ending is incredible too.
Yep. Also it's only 4 songs/12 minutes but the new-ish Wolf Parade EP is stunningly good. Like they never missed a beat.

I'm not sure that New Order needed a Netflix show to feature their music to remain recognized.
But is The Stand-Ins even better?
I didn't pick up on that, but I did hear the edit points. I'm generally not a fan of Esposito but I thought she was fine here, and Rhea was great.

Have to jump in here and say that a dementia-addled Junior gossiping over the telephone and saying "Apparently he came all over the sun visor" is one of my favorite comedic moments of the series.
I normally absolutely hate the overly snarky, negative attitude towards any music that happens on this site, but everything about this is fucking insufferable.
Problematic
Now this is what I call content.
So you need to be a paying Hulu customer to watch this? I feel entitled to it for free.
I just got his new book from the library yesterday. It's pretty light but fun.
McCown did you get married
I just finished hot bestseller The Girls by Emma Cline. Liked it a lot though I was kind of surprised how closely the plot hews to the real-life version of the events. Drew Magary's new novel The Hike is now waiting for me to pick up from the library.
That was so awkward. Me Before You? What the fuck.
