Without having ever been within 3000 miles of an In-N-Out, I am kind of with Burger Boy in that there is no way Carl's Jr/Hardees should be winning that.

I'm reading Anansi Boys right now. Definitely reminiscent of American Gods, which I liked but didn't love. As someone alluded to above, it feels like his ideas are a lot better than the execution of them. Enjoying it though.
That's my favorite of all of his works which is funny because it doesn't have too many of his hallmarks. The ending is so beautiful.
The final pre-Bastards song for us was A More Perfect Union. I don't know if I've ever seen a crowd collectively lose its shit more. Just amazing.
Replying again to say thanks for the heads up! I wasn't able to get to Craig but Patrick hung out after the show and signed that awesome tour poster of the 2 of them.
Well Ys is absolutely brilliant as well but it is a beast of a record. 5 songs averaging 10 or 12 minutes each, so kind of a challenging listen. Have One On Me even more so.
The more time passes the more I think Divers is her masterpiece. What a gorgeous album.
Oh man, check out The Body The Blood The Machine as soon as you can. One of the best albums of the 2000s if you ask me, and a great relic of the darkest of the Bush years.
I've only listened to the new Thermals once through but I can already tell it's a big improvement from their last which was just totally destroyed by the shitty production. Gonna be seeing them for the first time in May, pretty excited.
Seeing them tonight! Maybe I will hang around afterwards too.
Then by all means, we riot in the streets
There's really no reason to complain about this. It took me 10 seconds to turn it off. But let's all rage so hard because we can't even and the feels, I guess.
I was in the nosebleeds but his crowd-surfing during that was still one of the highlights. The crowd went crazy when Jake pulled him up onto the stage mid-solo with one hand.
"Jacqueline" is one of the best first songs/first album picks. When the bass comes in and the guitar starts to ramp up, oh man.
I finished The Pale King and it was amazing and so depressing that it didn't have the opportunity to come together a little more and be even more of a masterpiece.
The Hold Steady - Your Little Hoodrat Friend
Bloc Party - Ion Square
Modest Mouse - All Night Diner
New Order - Run
My Morning Jacket - It Beats 4 U
Ooh I know this place from all the Hold Steady songs.
In Rainbows might be my favorite of their albums.
Seems probable!
I watched it when I found out they were doing it for the show. It was surprisingly watchable for being totally incompetent and awful. Might lose some luster if you already heard them talk about it though.
