Unfortunately I am 30 years old. I could stand to lose a pound or two though, I guess that's the half-full portion of the glass!

Moving through the Pale King at a steady clip. Kind of amazing that DFW manages to make taxes interesting. Just got through a section made up of interviews with IRS employees and one goes on for pages about the "tax gap" and I was just completely enthralled.

I really liked The Witch, which I saw last night. I can tell one scene in particular towards the end will be haunting my dreams/daydreams for a week or two.

I have a skin thing around my mouth that makes it excruciatingly painful to open my mouth to eat, smile, etc. Was just prescribed a topical steroid with the admission that it is tough to treat and this may not work. So that's fun. Also it looks really awful/ridiculous so it's doing wonders for my already cratered

Lorde - Buzzcut Season
Death Cab for Cutie - Little Bribes
St. Vincent - Hysterical Strength
Rilo Kiley - Paint's Peeling
Metric - Collect Call

A 4 month tour immediately after shooting 20 episodes of CBB I'm guessing. Impressive.

Or…you misread the scene spectacularly in your zeal to be offended. There's an equal amount of evidence for both.

Right that's the moral, because the show presents Gus as being in the right all the time and the ending was supposed to be unequivocally romantic.

It's been renewed already.

I agree! The closest I can get to an explanation is that maybe the characters they are playing are perhaps all too familiar to a woman in show business who unfortunately has to deal with that type as part of their reality, and thus are all the more hilarious to them.

Sean and Hayes were apart so long I almost forgot how effortlessly funny the normal episodes with an outsider guest are. Maria Thayer was delightful and I love when someone unfamiliar with the guys is completely won over. I rewound this exchange like 5 times.

Thousand Autumns immediately preceded Bone Clocks, so it's only the last 2 that have done the gimmick.

About 70 pages into The Pale King, liking it so far. I laughed uncontrollably at one chapter about an overly precocious kid who when he suggested reorganizing the class coat closet to allow for better ingress/egress, the teacher brandished a pair of scissors at him and threatened to kill him and then herself.

This is no different from any show they've covered in this manner. Man in the High Castle, Transparent, Jessica Jones all had the same exact treatment. No corporate conspiracy.

Yeah that was not a well-articulated comment. I would try again but I don't think I'd do any better.

I agree to an extent, I just thought it got a little out of hand on one of the recent sections where someone ranted about how hideous he was for a couple paragraphs, so just wanted to respond with a funny hot take.

Just want to say that as someone who looks a decent amount like Paul Rust, it was illuminating to read the comments on these and discover that I do not deserve happiness or really to ever speak to an attractive woman. Thanks guys!

I enjoy all the complaints about "white people problems" coming from this site's readership which is probably conservatively 90% white.

That's enough of that
