1. Hopefully seeing it Friday at 12:45 PM. Going by myself so prefer a low-key showing.
2. I watched the original trilogy a couple months ago
3. Not a merch person
4. AVOIDING. Really dislike the thinkpieces about how isn't it better to be spoiled and if it were a good movie knowing the plot shouldn't matter. No.

That whole album is incredible/incredibly intense. What a way to start it off though.

It's been probably over 10 years since I read so unfortunately I can't speak to any specifics, just a general feeling. I do remember being turned off immediately when the female lead named Phlox was introduced hitting golf balls off a tee outside of a kegger. Just, fuck that. No.

I haaated the Mysteries of Pittsburgh and I even live here. Definitely recommend Kavalier and Clay or Yiddish Policemen's Union instead.

I finished Sarah Vowell's Lafeyette in the Somewhat United States. It was good and the first thing I had read by her, will probably lead more. Did not realize how preposterously ignorant I was about the Revolutionary War.

Fuck most everything. I have to move (within the same building, but still) the week between Xmas and New Year's and will have precious little help because I have no friends. I turn 30 on Friday and hate every aspect of my life. I also feel like shit physically. There's a lot riding on Star Wars.

Mimicking Birds - Night Light
Sunset Rubdown - The Men Are Called Horsemen There
Bon Iver - Re:Stacks
New Order - Leave Me Alone
At the Drive-In - Arcarsenal

No Sense8 makes me sad. But pretty good list. I think people started taking Mad Men for granted towards the end, I thought it was just as amazing as ever. Top 5 all-time show for me.

You can still make one of the first 10 Titus Andromedon jokes! Hurry up people!

Fucking awesome. I've already seen Finn twice this year so I'm good on that front but I haven't seen Titus since The Monitor era. Where I saw them open for The Hold Steady, incidentally.

Haha nice. You were very funny nice and good.

Oh I'm a Death Cab completist, I'm well-acquainted! You're right though, it's fantastic.

A part of me is just jealous I'm not on them I think. I live in Pittsburgh and there were 2 callers from here on it! I should get out more.

It's not even Jesus' birthday! It's an appropriated pagan holiday and I bet you didn't know that!

These past couple winters where we've had subzero temps as the norm I've had "Blacking Out the Friction" in my head for months on end.

I think I liked it even better than the Whiplash episode actually. Loved when they ripped on AVC for making Engineer Cody part of the year-in-Podmass feature.

I only listened to the first 45 minutes or so on my morning commute, but the image of John Lennon driving from New York to LA in his RV at 300 miles per hour will be enough to get me through this day.

I had not seen the trailer and didn't really know anything about the movie going in, so it was one of the most intense scenes I've seen in years, and I DID burst into tears when she came running out of the dark towards the car. Amazing.

Carol still isn't here either. The amount of prestige pictures that I won't get a chance to see until after Xmas/ the New Year is pretty crazy/intimidating.

I had mixed feelings about The Mist but that scene you mentioned is so fucking good. Just a perfect "Well, we're fucked" moment and too horrible to even comprehend.
