See, I'm okay with it in the comics since they'd have to start inventing really ridiculous reasons for him to continue being poor given his connections to the rest of the Marvel Universe, but I definitely need my teenage to early 30s Spider-Man to be a loser and/or struggling dude married to a model. Though I guess

"Peter: It's not a lie if you believe it."

Uncle Ben's last words: "I don't even mind the word 'manure.' It's newer, which is good, and a Ma in front of it."

For me, one of Spider-Man's defining characteristics (at least younger Spider-Man) is he's a working class underdog who's constantly on the verge of financial disaster (which I can totally relate to, probably because I am posting a comment on a superhero movie in the middle of the work day). If he's best bros with a

More importantly: when is Billy Ocean gonna get cast in this thing?!?

I'm in a similar position. I love rpgs, but I hate the kind of people who loved rpgs when I was growing up (meaning know-it-alls and neckbeards who have no interests beyond tech and geek culture).

It's also just a bad script in parts. It's vastly unbelievable that a psychiatrist would have his own son for a patient, and Ian HOlm's role is just a one-dimensional plot obstacle, not a character. There's no conflict in the relationship between Natalie Portman and Zach Braff (she lies occasionally when she's not

"Where is My Mind" is a great call. It was a weird situation for me, because I'd heard about the Pixies (how they were a huge influence on Nirvana, others) but had never heard them until the end of Fight Club. When I saw it, I was like, "Oh, I bet this is the Pixies" and it turned out I was right.

Don't feel too bad about making fun of it. Eric Clapton is a straight up racist piece of shit, not in the "he said a racial slur once" sense, but in the "England should be for whites only" sense (check his Wikipedia page).

I'm going to cop to really liking the song "Outside" by Staind—no, not the album version, but the live one (yes, with Fred Fucking-Durst).

"Seven Nation Army" is excellent, but I don't think it's possible to write a better rock/pop song than "Fell in Love with a Girl."

I've said this on a comment thread before (I'm an old, so I repeat myself), but American Idiot was the last album I remember that my two hipster/indie snob friends, my stoner rock friend, my 90s/alt-rock-loving brother, my wife (Green Day fan from the 90s), and I could agree on as being awesome.

"When fact is fiction and TV reality." Damn does that line still reverberate today.

Most people are just a bunch of ole sourpusses.

I did that for what I believe was Conan's last "Late Night" on NBC episode. Thank God for Youtube.

Does anyone know if Bob Ducca's in any Howl.fm originals yet? I loved and miss Affirmation Nation. It wasn't non-stop funny (with some episodes, including all of Brian Huskey's) as the exception, but there would be at least a handful of hilarious moments each episode, and Bob was so easy to root for. There was a

This is tough. The Superpan sketch was in the first episode I ever saw, so it has a special place in my scrotum.

I didn't even know the Chicago School of Economics was in trouble!
