This was a good review overall in terms of helping me put a finger on what worked and what didn't work that I couldn't quite articulate at first. I agree with the points about too many plot elements, though in the case of recent Simpsons episodes, I'd say it's preferable to have too many potentially promising plot…

You tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try.

Don't get too excited. It's not your buddy, Peter Porker.

Like all things, it needed more Albert Brooks, but he was fantastic in it, and there were some pretty great one liners and gags.

Welcome to The A.V. Club, where nothing could possi-bly go wrong.

I seem to recall it's idea of humor being "These characters are horrible greedy lying people!" but forgetting to have, like, actual jokes.

I just found out that Scrawler's is a paper lantern after thinking it was a globe for years and I still haven't gotten over the hurt.

I started to read you comment as Lego Conan. Is that something?

Not even an old timey metal garbage can in sight, either:(

Hey, I grew up in the 80s! You wanna step outside and settle this?!?

Less Conan is never a good thing, but maybe giving Conan and co more time to work on remote segments and writing ridiculous bits and less time to interviews with C-list celebs will be beneficial.

What about a movie about a guy who threatens to sue anyone who criticizes him?

I was hoping it would be a weekly show to talk about Robert Altman's film. There would be six or seven conversations going on across the set and the camera would pan from one to the others at various points throughout each episode.

She lies and says that he's in the woods,
Can't find a Slenderman.
She lies and says he's not made-up,
Can't find a Slenderman.

But most of my favorite X-Men are women! So confused…

To be fair, wasn't Streep's Iron Lady a part of the MCU? I just assumed based on the title.
