Besides "1900 hours" being impractical language, it wasn't borne out. They showed up at 1 PM the next day.  So either their trip was delayed by a day and they arrived at 1 PM the next day (a pretty serious delay, involving a hotel stay) or they showed up 6 hours early.  I didn't see support for either in the story,

Taking away the Xbox would have been a more appropriate punishment, but Kristina was probably projecting her own desire to not go, and used Max as an excuse to get out of it.

I want to turn this back into a 4th ed vs. all previous version flamefest.  I reject your attempts to turn the thread back on topic!

Wait, hold on just one second there pardner.  Tell me more about this "middle age jocks hiring a geek to run D&D" phenomenon.  Do I need to have a craigs list ad out with my RPG resume?

I agree.  A review would be interesting.  Although I really don't know that a grown man can get into it without prior experience, and he's probably due for a let down, his friend's enthusiasm not withstanding.

You know what real terrorists are like?

I'm really only here to see if the Homeland review was put up, but yes…I expected this season to pair Dexer with Deb.  That it didn't surprised me.  Now that next season will obviously be about their pairing, it will be just as easy to forget that this season never happened.

The biggest problem I had with this ep was that Saul immediately intuited that Carrie had an unseen psych disorder.  I think, based on what he knew, it would more likely be ascribed to PTSD.

If Dexter and Debra ever consummate their relationship I am turning off Dexter at that moment and for forever.  I do so vow.

Putting a therapist on the command bridge of a warship is laughable, the flag warship at that.  I know that it needed some cheesecake * cough 7-of-9 * cough but please.  No wonder the klingons and roumulans gave us a run for our money.

Not a single mention of Logan's Run?  I would think that to be unavoidable.

Much,

fully 1/2 of these shows have already been canceled.  part 1 shows fared a little better, but some are circling (Terra Nova).

Exactly, Kara.  I haven't decided if the show is going to try to convince us that "extrajudicial measures" are necessary or if they are un-necessary and even wrong.  I am pretty certain that they are going to conclude with one or the other, eventually, and I'm as interested in the arguments that they bring to that

I'm surprised that Brody isn't treated for PTSD as a matter of course.  Is our treatment of returning veterans really that shabby?

I agree with a lot of what you're saying.

Look.  I think this show, basically, wants to legitimize the concept of mindcrime.  And frankly that is deeply disturbing to me.

I remember that story, but couldn't think of the name.  I can never remember the name.

Can someone explain ratings to me, please?

I liked TNG when it aired.  "Appointment TV".
