I think it is highly unlikely we will ever get a resolution to the mystery.

Sci-Fi would not be totally unexpected here, though. We have an unexplained disappearance that could be explained by ET as well as anything.

Maybe, but how could he? Quite literally everyone that knew is long dead, unless GRRM uses something like a servant or a letter. Which is pretty lame.

This comment section is better than the last season of True Blood.

Was that the plot of the 5th season?

To be fair, it used to be.  It went downhill, fast, when it started taking itself too seriously.

That would be hilariously awesome, but probably outside of the CGI budget.

Logged in to to say:  me too.  This show is at it's best when it has over the top vampire characters.  I thought the best season was the russell edginton one;  him and his gay effete partner were hilarious.

The best cure for that is to read the books, honestly.

Well, it does have Roy Batty as a powerful vampire. If there's one guy in the world that can chew scenery, it's Rutger Hauer.  Even if he is and looks old.

I liked the movie too (ty RedBox!) except for the horrible reveal.  And actually, my problem was with the reveal itself, not with the stratagem—I think a phony environmentalist might actually work in such a scenario.  Krasinski's flat exposition and seeming inability to retreat before the game was up was the biggest

You forget Littlefinger pushing Lysa out of the window.  Sansa's reaction is going to be devastating.

Exactly.  And then Tyrion gets out and slaughters for ep 9;  then stoneheart maybe ep 10 for an "wtf" cliffhanger.

Yeah, but I figured we'd see him, get some kind of reminder of how many leeches were thrown into the fire, and then Balon would get it.  So then rest of the show newbs would be waiting for Joff to get it too, since the power of the leech killing would be reinforced.

It is pretty over the top.  Even for a show already with zombies.  And it reduces the impact of the RW.  I dunno.  It seems important enough of an element it would be hard to lose, but I'm not sure TV audience would buy it.

Funny you should bring that up.  I was just thinking that the death that really messed with me the most was that of Yoren.

I *really* thought we'd end with Lady Stoneheart tonight, although admittedly it was pretty soon after the emotional impact of the RW and I wondered if they were going to revoke that so soon.

I personally think we're getting Purple wedding 2nd ep of next season, then spend some time on the trial, and then some on the trial by combat, and then Tyrion escapes and does the business ep 9 or 10.

Tywin was the one I actually thought he meant, too.  Which would be really pretty funny, and meets the criteria of "recently joining the cast" as I don't think he showed up until late season 2.
