Very true. And a decent amount of cast turnover makes sense in a show set in a prison, what with prisoners entering and leaving constantly and what I'd imagine to be a fairly high turnover rate among prison employees.

I'm trying to not be too down about it. Lapkus has an extremely bright future ahead of her. She didn't get a huge amount of screentime, but Oranges definitely showed that she has some legit drama chops to go along with her brilliant comedic sensibilities, so I'm really excited to see where she goes from here.

"Appropriately Sized Pots" made me want to cry, mainly because it almost certainly means no more Lauren Lapkus on Oranges: The New Black. :(

There's a lot to be said for the elegance of the traditional A/B/C television plot structure. Subverting it occasionally can be a good thing, but True Blood went completely off the rails.

"True Blood was never the prestige show; what it offered was ridiculous, over-the-top, supernatural sex, gore, and twisted humor."

Kudos to everyone who still watches this show. I couldn't take it any longer and bailed about two-and-a-half seasons ago.

my friend jezzire helen found a new cellphone plan for only 8 bucsk a month with a a billion gergabits of data.

Is no one at AV Club listening to U Talking U2 to Me? Staind Glass was its best episode yet.

Ehhh, what wouldn't be manly about Soupa Bowl Lawn Guyland? It's gonna be wicked awesome.

I really hope the show doesn't decide to make Sansa aware of Arya's arrival at the Bloody Gate.

As horribly cartoonish as Lewis and Ribisi are in The Other Sister, Diane Keaton's character is the worst part of that film.

Anyone else remember that episode of SVU where a girl with Williams syndrome (a genetic disorder that causes elfish facial features and overly cheerful personalities) witnesses a murder?

I certainly won't say that Tom Hanks was bad in it, but I've come to really despise Forrest Gump, both for its cheap weaving-through-history narrative bullshit and for breeding so much godawful Oscar-bait schlock in the subsequent decade featuring mentally challenged characters.

This is true. Double Dash is an outlier in a few of ways, this being one of them.

My favorite part of the Gamepad is its ability to remove HUD elements from the TV screen, though I'm kind of frustrated that Nintendo isn't fully taking advantage of this. Wind Waker HD allowed you to remove quite a bit of the clutter on the TV, but not everything. That annoyed me.

Ehh, we're not talking about Smash Bros. here. Character variation has typically had a fairly minimal impact in Mario Kart. Yoshi has also been my go-to racer for ages.

If you want Nintendo games to suck, sure, they should go ahead and make games for other consoles.

With the use of standard tracks for Battle Mode and the repetitive character roster, it's pretty obvious that a couple of corners were cut to get this game out in the desired timeframe.

MKDS, so far. Mario Kart 8 appears very likely to dethrone it.

I appreciate the sense of urgency Murphy brings to the film, but Jesus Christ, did it have to be SO GODDAMNED SCREAMY?
