Changing a cast for a season isn't a big deal. It's changing cast every episode, as well as kinda keeping the same quality throughout the series.

The thing is the pop culture references pile on too quickly at the end.
The only part that gets me choked up is at the end when he's doing a voiceover and it's a montage of beautiful scenery, like him running by himself in the midwest somewhere and some other shit.
I remember the soundtrack has 40 songs on it, and that's maybe 2/3 of what's actually in the movie.

Seems hard, because a lot of TV shows are budgeted for sets they'll use all season and TZ seemed to have an embarrassment of riches as far as a stable of actors who had not quite hit the big time.

I remember loving the movie, but hating that part with Mike, like I thought they just added it in because they were making fun of Minnesotan Asians, but then a few years later, I realized his purpose in the movie as a catalyst.
Season 2 should have David Lynch and Kyle McLachlan.
