You have a NUMBER of transgender friends?  I'm not making fun here but I don't think I've ever had a transgender friend and I'm very LGBT-friend plus live in NYC.  I don't know why but I have just always had this feeling of that it was relatively rare.  Interesting.

I would love show my cleverness by making a pun alluding to this news using the name of one of their songs but I don't know any.

But in defense of Rabin, between Gut's rambling, stance on molestation in memoirs (which I liked) and apparent chip on his shoulder…this was definitely one of the weirder interviews I've read in a while.

Can we turn "Fuck that!" into some sort of new, AV Club catchphrase?

Great review. I admit when watching this I thought it was the weakest of the season, containing compelling parts but lacking a narrative whole or any connective tissue. After reading this, I suppose it could make sense that this episode will look better in retrospect.

and normally he's such a reasonable guy!

Compared to say, Big Bang Theory, the audiences of Mad Men and Breaking Bad are relatively small.  Of course, the proponents of these shows tend to be very vocal and I would bet also tend to be media-types who write on popular sites, blogs, etc…

This may sound cliche, but the Beastie Boys were really integral in expanding my musical taste.  When I was a kid and young teenager I listened pretty much exclusively to hip-hop.  I became obsessed with the Beastie Boys at a certain point and that eventually bridged the gap for me to rock and roll music.  The fact

Yes, that was probably not very fun…at the same time, it's not like Keith was useless the whole time.  I think it's stretch to say he "carried" him.  Keith wrote or co-wrote some classic albums during that time and helped to keep the band commercially and musically relevant, more than 20 years after their formation.

I had never really heard the stories so it didn't bother me that it was well-worn territory.  I was taken aback because I couldn't possibly believe that this was all true…in the end, it was so entertaining that I didn't really care.

Of course Rolling Stone gave it four stars.  Of course.

Candidate for My World of Flops?

I wonder what Keef thinks of Mick's group "Superheavy."  There is no end to my joy when he trashes Mick's solo stuff.

Listening to this new album supports this point of view.  I was kind of shocked by how much I liked it.  I could take or leave his "side projects" but this is probably one of my favorite things he's ever done.

I'm the same way.  It's not that surprising though…I'm a big Jack White fan but it doesn't seem like a "Prince and the Time" scenario where he's the puppet master of another band…it sounds like they are pretty much equal contributors.

I don't mind the Bob Dylan in Don't Look Back thing…I think it's actually pretty funny.  He's pretty much a master media manipulator, especially when you consider that he's been this for over 10 years now and this whole thing should've stopped working a while ago.

wow, that was over faster than a dog's joyride on the top of a car!

well, you did just make a pretty convincing pitch.  in fact, wait a second…do you work for marvel's marketing department???

see…she's a female comedienne so she must be carrying the flag for female comediennes.
