I'm normally predisposed to liking superhero movies and enjoyed the hell out of the first Iron Man…but seeing previews for this just turned me off.  It seems like too much of a juggernaut, too contrived and I'm annoyed at how they're no longer even going to try to play down the fact that they are treating the whole

I've never been a fan of the Foo Fighters aside from maybe like, 2-3 songs.  I've never really understood the level of success that they've achieved when viewed next to their actual songs.  I feel like his music is my least favorite kind of late 90s style post-grunge. (Which is of course ironic.)

Coincidentally, I just found the "Classic Albums" series on Netflix streaming and watched the Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac and Nirvana episodes last night.  Pretty good, more interesting than your average talking head-assisted Behind the Music episode…but only if you're really into watching the Producer/Band talk about

I plan on watching the shit out of this.

As well as some of the best/most iconic singles of all time…which they didn't even include on the albums because that's how many good songs they had.

Santigold's okay…

There were times in my life that I've loved both Eminem and 2Pac…but no one has done more to turn mainstream hip-hop into a platform for cheesy, laughably bad introspection.  Kanye can pull it off…most can't.

Oh, and one other thing….while I'm not proud to admit this, when I read the last line of Cell *SPOILER* and the dude is making a last ditch a attempt to save his brain-dead son and then the book abruptly ends, I got a little choked up.  This was another instance of Stephen King's fascination with not giving his

Well, I started reading LIsey's story and got bored.  With Under the Dome, I lost interest.  I haven't read any of the above three but also have heard 11/22/63 was great…so I'd be willing to give that a try.

Yeah, probably…but why rob kids of of all of the color vulgarities and scenes of graphic sex and violence that I myself enjoyed so much as a boy? (Plus better plotting and storytelling of course.)

That's interesting because I read the books in one marathon-long session and Wizard and Glass is probably my second fav, right after Drawing of the Three.

read the first four and then stop.

well, this sure sounds shitty.

what?????  this happened?

Amazingly, I read the first entry in this series.  (The publisher was a client for the agency I work for.)

Was Marc Maron deleted as a user?

It's so weird that you write exactly the same way that you speak with the pauses intact and everything…

Yeah, I'm not saying I'm always above it or anything.  Something about this struck me as particularly sad at first glance though.  You know, The Killers, Vegas, male pattern baldness, etc.

I dig Nerdist podcast but I find that the level of quality hinges a lot on the guest.  Chris Hardwick is totally agreeable and funny as a host but something like WTF is more consistently enjoyable for train wreck appeal, even if the guest isn't great.

I'm almost afraid to read these comments.  Please go easy on this dude.
