I don't know, I think this is pretty close competition. It's such an unashamed love letter to everything about the modern-day conception of what makes superheroes and supervillains that I'm tempted to give it the edge even.

Unbreakable is the best superhero film ever made that's totally 100% an original property. Willis and Jackson turn in absolutely amazing performances. The key to viewing the film is that it's a comic book origin story played so straight that at times you'll forget that's what you're watching. Nearly every shot in the…
Supernatural gets ignored by this site way too often. The reviews should have never been taken away. At least give us a weekly discussion post.
I'll actually go to bat for Season 8, I think that season was great. Benny was an amazing character that got killed off way too soon. He was responsible for "Blood Brother" and "Citizen Fang", two absolutely spectacular episodes. "As Time Goes By" and "Goodbye Stranger" were also pretty amazing. And "Sacrifice" was…
You do realize Cap isn't actually a Hydra mole in the comics, right? Red Skull changed reality using the Cosmic Cube to make Cap a Hydra mole. Real Cap is still a good person. And if I were being continually heckled by people on Twitter who didn't even bother to read the story they were shitting on, I might be a bit…
It was just Jed and Maurissa trying to make a jab at Marvel for the current Secret Empire arc, which kind of pisses me off. It's not Nick Spencer's fault that Hydra isn't Nazis. Marvel Comics made the decision to have Hydra be an ancient evil before Nick Spencer was even born.
Are they not the same person?
It wasn't though, is the thing. They ignored their own narrative in order to make a political point, which isn't something you should ever do.
The worst seasons of Supernatural (1, 7, 9) have definitely each had some series-best episodes despite the general suckiness (maybe not 9, that season was mostly wall-to-wall poor writing).
Just pitching in to state that I really appreciated Daisy finally saying there really was good in Ward. Felt a little like vindication.
The first half of Luke Cage was wall-to-wall brilliance with barely a bad scene to be found. No matter how bad the second half was, and I don't think it was *quite* as terrible as people make it out to be, it shouldn't detract from those flawless first 7 episodes.
Woo, another Supernatural fan. SHIELD definitely has the better arc(s) this year, but SPN deserves infinite points for sheer consistency over time.
Okay but Hydra wasn't founded by Nazis??? They confirmed that in 3x08. That seemed stupid to me. Hydra was founded in prehistoric times by followers of Hive. The branch of Hydra led by Red Skull later attached itself to the Nazis for the purposes of attaining funding, but they were in no way founded by Nazis. I…
*rapturous applause*
Not half, 1/4.
If it's Ward I will literally do Numfar's Dance of Joy. This has been the best season yet even without Brett Dalton but this arc has reminded me that I miss his presence so much. He livens up everything around him considerably.
Which makes it the world record holder for most consecutive days a single word has held 'word of the day', bringing us to a whopping 96!
Third possibility: I am, in fact, Carlton Cuse himself. Plot twist.
So after facing the threat of a government shutdown to commemorate the end of his first 100 days, Trump backed down on the Wall. Of course he did. He's a spineless coward, he'll back down on anything. So that's the Muslim Ban, Healthcare, and now the Wall all held up in the works, potentially to never return. We'll…
That would have been fun to see, you're right. Would have much preferred that to Rihanna doing literally nothing for two episodes in a row.
