Hooray! I picked up on something! In the previous episodes, you can tell Lee was going to have a problem with the way Monet was playing her. There was an unflattering difference in personality compared to the way Matt and Shelby were portrayed by their actors. Probably a stretch, but I think there could be some

Hail, Malthus!

I've always wondered if Catholic high schools would accept Children of Eden. It's Genesis, but it's more than a little bit heretical in a gorgeous way.

I remember meeting people who went to private high schools and got to do shows like Cabaret and Urinetown.

Very much agreed. Hence "since Romeo + Juliet," not "ever."

Glee was a perfectly fine series that was canceled after 13 episodes and you'll never convince me otherwise.

Best thing Luhrmann's done since Romeo + Juliet. I feel like when something's a fit for his sensibilities but there's a strong argument for him not to be the one to do it, he actually shows what he's capable of.

I was of the opinion that if you got rid of both Danny Pino and Mary Elizabeth Winstead's characters (good as she was) you'd have a much better show. Gustav and Rochelle teaming up with Gareth could have been much tenser, more dramatic and ripe for comedy and commentary.

It could respect leftism when it was the Correct (Rich) People Doing It. The only qualifier for whether it was "good" or "bad" politics was whether someone had a bug in their brain or not. I swear they spent a full hour vilifying the idea of politicians participating in protest before immediately swinging around and

"Sandcastles in the Sand" was not the crossover hit Robin Sparkles hoped it would be.

Your and dygitalninja's comment below are kinda what I was getting at, though apparently not very clearly. The only antagonist they could carry over from JJ doesn't fit, but it would be cool to see the wilier antagonists figure in some small way into the crossover.

I really really hope Mariah/Shades and Fisk (and maybe Madame Gao, depending on if she turns out to be Crane Mother and how she's connected to the Hand) get small parts as wildcards in Defenders. I can't think of any Jessica Jones antagonists to carry over except Nuke, and I'd rather see his story contained there.

That and "Long Live the Chief" were the peaks for me.

I love Shades' complete exasperation with everyone on the antagonists' side except for Mariah.

I'd think Miller would reference Anne instead of Charlotte though, just to be as obtuse as possible.

Snow gets her groove back at least twice a season, and it never, ever sticks. Nor shall it ever.

Hey, we've got those grotesque sniffs and snorts he's constantly making as probably cause.

On the other hand, a big part of what made Key and Peele so funny was the verisimilitude and level of production they brought to their spoofs—though that was pre-recorded, and the pre-recorded stuff has been the strongest element of SNL for a while.

And now, Lil' CHONK!

That picture makes her look eerily like Sinead O'Connor. Maybe let's try not to be such dicks this time.
