Holy shit, I am actually a pathetic mess right now.  Better buckle down and fix some of that.

I'm going to give up ballet for a year or so after this week's class.  I'll definitely try it again once I have a job where I actually know where I'll be working and what my schedule will be more than a couple of weeks in advance.

I wasn't blown away by Left Hand of Darkness either, and I read The Dispossessed for a book club and thought it was only ok.  I'm not giving up on Le Guin yet, but I might need to if the next one is also meh.

My armpits generally just feel better in a strange way now that I'm using Tom's, but they still sweat whenever they want to sweat.  I just live with it.

Hm.  Probably 90% of my finals in university were worth 50% of the mark or more, but nothing that was a final project.  I did do a final group design project for my degree, though, and there was some flexibility built into the mark, where you could all rate each other's efforts so if the whole group rated one guy low,

I'm going back and forth on creating an online dating profile again.

I have lots of plans for once!

People who stop traffic to get in the Tim Hortons drive thru line.

I wore a uniform throughout high school and one of the reasons I actually wish I could go back to it is how sick I am of all of my clothes.  I don't have the energy or personal style to have a big wardrobe, so I feel like I'm constantly wearing everything, and it's just terrible.  When I had a uniform, I liked my

I also love that blog, but not her stance on unpaid internships.

I'm a civil engineer working in construction management right now.  There are numerous things about the business that are wearing me down: horrible hours that are frequently out of town, increasingly insane safety culture, sketchy environmental responsibility, and so on.  I'm pretty actively looking for a new job as

Ricky Gervais is the only person I have blocked on Twitter.  I wasn't following him, but I kept seeing retweets that were just too obnoxious to tolerate.

For whatever reason, I can't stay logged in to Disqus on my phone, so if I ever like something using my phone I'd show up as a guest.

I usually have a large bag of some kind that I put mine in.  The biggest problems are in the winter, when I am trying to prevent the thing from freezing (yay, Canada!).

I wasn't sure what to say, so I'll echo this.

Second last ballet class of the summer is this week, and then I need to decide if I want to keep doing it until December.  I think I will, because one physical activity thing per week is better than none.

My sisteroommate and I just adopted a cat from the local shelter on Aug 8.  He's a little grey domestic medium hair (now named Greebo, approximately two years old but that's very unclear at this point, given that the vet who did his post-shelter checkup thought he might only be a year old), and has been getting along

I am still having serious job struggles that are spilling over into the rest of my life in a bad way.  As recently as Monday I was preparing to apply to a Library Technician program at my local technical school and throw engineering out the window, but my latest plan is to buy a house first, work two more years (but

Mine is in mega financial trouble and seems to be doing everything it can to become a technical school and phase out all of the arts programs.  Ugh.
