That was actually what I liked best about the Gale/Peeta thing, was that there wasn't one who was clearly better/favoured until very near the end.

SPOILER ALERT:
@DesertDweller79:disqus I would advise never ever ever attempting to read Finnegans Wake. Just don't even open it. There's been some good stuff on the list otherwise so far, though, that I wouldn't have ever read otherwise.
I've caught up with these reviews at last! Here's hoping I actually manage to stay on track.

I like season 7 but don't care much for 6 or 8.

Hey, I'll be the first to admit that they're good role models for teens and that they've managed to form a really supportive, positive, sincere community and do a lot of really cool stuff.

I've been at my list for three years now and I'm about a quarter of the way through, working up from the bottom.
Maybe this is just because everything in Canada is more expensive, but when I bought my car (a Mazda) new a couple of years ago, the standard transmission was at least $1500 less than the automatic.
I just started Hannu Rajaniemi's The Quantum Thief late last night. Probably one of the most intense sf novels I've had the pleasure of reading for quite some time. Really liking it so far.
Mythago Wood! How is it?
I only skimmed the footnotes that were just long lists of names. I feel like the JT footnotes are really necessary to the experience of the book, even though they -do- get a little tedious at points.
Tree of dead babies? Sold!
Is anyone else here familiar with how kind of weird the vlogbrothers fanbase is? I'm curious about John Green's books but I'm not sure I'll be able to ever bring myself to read them after encountering the odd level of worship those two guys get.

I have a full time job and a social life + relationship, and I read 34 books this year. (For half of the year, that full time job entailed working in a remote location with extremely limited recreational internet access.) I have no idea how people can do it when they have kids, though.

Yeah, I thought that was ridiculous. It was pretty clear he was jumping off that bridge to commit suicide, his spine didn't need to explicitly break for me to understand that.
