This is my feeling about it, too.  My friends and I tried to get a group down last year but the registration process was a nightmare and only one of us ended up getting through it.  We went to Dragon*Con instead and I haven't really looked back since.

I spend way too much time thinking about this, but I'm pretty sure that there are still nerds, and that just because superhero movies and Twilight are popular right now, doesn't mean that the culture isn't going to move on to something else eventually.  And the nerds will be out in the cold/getting swirlied again.

So if there's only one Nerd State Fair, what are all the other cons?  Nerd County Fairs?

@CFAmick @WahWahWah It's very possible that I'm just not far enough in yet.  I really liked the way The Pacific tells you about where its characters are coming from, instead of being just generic attractive young men of the 1940s.  Mainly I guess they're just two different miniseries, and I'm sure I'll end up liking

I just started watching Band of Brothers, currently three episodes in.  So far so good.

I just started listening to it about three weeks ago, and I've only heard those three most recent episodes, but I already love this podcast so much.  I mainly listen to podcasts while doing other stuff as well, and so far it's not as much of a downer as it would seem, based on the content.  It has a really uplifting

I can't remember which episodes, but the water bed shows up a few other times, and always made me giggle.

I actually reeeally noticed that watching season 9, where Doggett and Reyes are, like, constantly in the hospital.  And then realized that that was pretty true over the course of the entire show.

I feel like Mulder would be the one tied up and Scully would be the one doing the spanking.

I'm glad to hear someone else liked "FPS" because everyone around here seems to hate it so much.  A lot of that episode is truly ridiculous but I don't even care.
