I remember it also gave ammo to the one Azrael fan on the Internet who was convinced DC John Paul Valley was coming back. And when I say "the one Azrael fan on the Internet," I mean that. Motherfucker was on every message board and seemed to be the only person who cared about what he was posting.

Yeah, Hawkeye needs to move beyond the same 24 hour period. I'm hoping that happens in next week's issue!

Especially since Rhodey's already had multiple failed books in the past few years. How many?

Most of the Costa Cobra run that Sava describes below has Chuckles as a main character. I liked the first volume; not so much on the second.

Also: GUN THAT SHOOTS SWORDS. I got Fraction to sign the World War Hulk issue, and he wrote "I <3 GUNS THAT SHOOT SWORDS." on the cover. That's a treasured possession right there.

One of my favorites from that era of DC. Keeping that book alive far beyond the time when sales merited cancellation is—in my opinion—the one good thing DiDio has ever done.

Which Astonishing? I loved Xenogenesis, though the previous 2 arcs fell completely flat.

Alright. It's on the "To Read" list!

I mean, this is the IDEAL.

Yeah, and I think it's because they can't be flippant about something that exists in the real world and kills people dead.

I wanted to downvote this just because of how sad it makes me.

Nothing would be better!

Also: that scene got me a little nervous about Foggy's future. And I doubt they'd bring him back from CANCER. It would kind of cheapen the deaths of the thousands of people who die from it each year, right?

80s GI Joe comics are SO good.

Let me ask you all: I'm going to a Warren Ellis signing at Forbidden Planet in 4 hours. I've read Nextwave, Fell, The Authority, Astonishing X-Men, Extremis, Thunderbolts, and Secret Avengers in digital format. Anything I haven't read yet that I should buy in a trade to get him to sign?

Yes, but 2 introduces a main character in 3. However, 3 gives you all the information you need to know who she is.

I'm worried about who might take the reins from Waid, though I have my fingers crossed Marvel will suddenly reconcile with Rucka and bring him onboard.

Spenser's SA started out great, but the dragging-out of the operation against A.I.M. coupled with the Infinity tie-in killed it for me.

The problem with Satellite Sam is Chaykin's inability to draw more than 1 male and 1 female face. Not exactly great in a black-and-white comic full of white people.

Also, while I agree about this issue of Daredevil, I have to disagree about the Miller Punisher/DD story. Those are the issues that—in my reading—set my understanding of Punisher as a character. While not as great as the Gang War stuff, it's definitely above average.
