Yeah, I think anything less than painting him as a complete and utter villain is kind of nonsensical at this point, and I can't believe Kitty would support him; I do, however, like that in the pages I saw Bendis appeared to emphasize Kitty's bond with Illyana as a reason for defecting.

I've heard Soule's Swamp Thing is pretty good. Better than Snyder in your opinion?

Still great! Iron Man: The Inevitable was the story that made me an Iron Man fan.

I read the first hardcover of Uncanny. It was alright, but completely lacking in all of the X-Men I like (Kitty, Beast, Warren.) I guess Kitty's there now as of this week.

I just wish there was a readable X-Men book. WATXM focuses too much on the students for me. Bendis' run is a whole lot of nothing happening. Brian Wood's first arc started strong and then fell to shit with the final issue.

Yeah, The Fox looks like a real gem. Haspiel's art is just so dynamic.

Also, I can't tell Andy and Adam Kubert's work apart. Is it possible?

Damian was THAT bad, huh? I thought about getting it, but decided it might be rest to read Morrison's run in its entirety first; I've only sampled arcs here and there.

Superior has been great. It shows a contempt for the status quo that is refreshing for a Big Two comic.

What did everybody get this week?

I see where Matthew is coming from. Especially if you weren't reading comics AT the time Watchmen was released, it's easy for your reaction to be, "But this is no different from most other comics I read daily." When you realize it's the FIRST, though, your appreciation grows with context. I had that experience with

Burn all of your other comics and read Criminal. They are a distraction from true greatness.

I love Ex Machina and Saga but have been having trouble getting into Y. I read the first 10 issues a year ago, but I find Yorrick to be such an obnoxiously whiny little shit that I can't keep going. Did anyone else have that problem and get over it?

I really enjoyed the book's refreshing contempt for maintaining a status quo longer than 3 issues. However, now that I have Marvel Unlimited, I thought it best to wait til it hits there and save my money for projects that need it (Lazarus, Superior Foes of Spiderman) and those I love (Waid's Daredevil.)

I imagine Slott/Allred Silver Surfer will last about 12 issues, and then it won't be making enough money to justify keeping a popular writer and popular artist from more definitely lucrative Marvel titles.

I was in the same boat with that Black Panther run. Love T'Challa, but was bored to shit by that book. I even gave it 3 issues! However, I've been told by other comics readers that the run gets amazing right around the time BP takes on the Kingpin.

JMS is a plague on the comics industry; fuck Spider-Totems and fuck his bullshit half-stories.

I read Osborn on Marvel Unlimited recently and was pleasantly surprised. Kelly Sue DeConnick has never really done much that stood out to me, but her story—coupled with Rios' skills—really impressed me.

I'm at about issue #7 or #8 of Flash. Is it worth continuing to read? I've also started messing around with Earth 2, but can't decide which is more worth it at the times when I want to subject myself to reading a New 52 book.
