I've read bits and pieces of Nocenti's Daredevil run via trade. I HATED the Typhoid Mary materials, just really clumsily written. The Lone Stranger trade had some good stuff in it as well as amazing pencils from JRJr. I've heard it really gets good near the end!

Does Pixie have some kind of connection to them?

And the Darkseid issue just sounds enragingly revisionist.

Only Villains Month books I'm looking forward to are the Ra's Al Ghul one next week and the Bane one at the end of the month. The former has work from James Tynion; I'm not quite familiar with him and would love to hear fellow AVClubbers opinions on his work. The latter has art by Graham Nolan—the only one of Bane's

Do you read the regular Adventure Time series? I've heard nothing but good things, and it's onsale on Comixology this weekend. Do you recommend it?

How'd everybody feel about the Inhuman promotions? I still don't give a fuck about the Inhumans, but the titles I read tend to avoid crossovers, so I'm good for now.

Is Killjoys good beyond Cloonan, @disqus_ucwsDOcMoR:disqus ? I loved Umbrella Academy, but I've heard Gerard Way's story is a bit lacking and that it shoe-horns references to the album of the same name into the story.

Really? I love Englehart's WCA. That mix of characters (Silver Centurion Tony Stark, Hawkeye, and Mockingbird) along with the L.A. setting really spoke to me. I haven't really read anything beyond the first miniseries and 12 issues of the regular series, though.

Yeah, an all-minority Avengers team with Luke Cage, Monica Rambeau, and the new Power Man really drew my interest at first. The creative team really killed it for me, though. I don't know who Al Ewing is, and I know Greg Land all too well.

What did everyone read this week?

I'd like to meet the asshole who misinterprets this comment as being about Holocaust works.

Whenever I've had a pull list, the deal has always been, "Hey, we'll put aside these books for you, and you'll get 10% off." They've never required a commitment from me beyond having to cancel 2-3 months in advance of when I actually want to stop reading a title.

Yes, Samnee definitely made Mackie enjoyable.

I can't wait to share this with my Pep-Pep.

@avclub-638c1a4f003b46aad4aa5cf3f424d215:disqus Yeah, I've heard good stuff about the Jenkins/Lee Inhumans run. How is it that some of the early Marvel Knights stuff is so good (Inhumans, Black Panther, Kevin Smith Daredevil to a degree) and the rest is so horrid (Dr. Strange, Punisher-as-an-angel)?

Also, Fraction needs to quit using the word "cray-cray" in stories. Just STOP it.

@avclub-f4d3a9b22204bc9cd4a83ec616bf6097:disqus LAME

@avclub-5fd14fc7a83b79e976652d8c4abecc78:disqus I find the Legion boring, but I must say that—if anyone could make them interesting—it would probably be Waid. I'll have to try that run some day. It has Barry Kitson art, right?

How was the Demon in a Bottle stuff? I just finished re-reading the initial story.

@disqus_ucwsDOcMoR:disqus That has to be great for Marvel comics if you have a friend who wants the digital download code. Split a $2 for $1 a piece.
