I've only found that site that makes the "Hawkguy" and other Hawkeye-related shirts. I want one, but I also feel kind of dickish giving money to unlicensed apparel when I know the comics industry is hurting financially.

DO WHAT I DO:

TRUE

What's up with Jess Drew these days? Has she gotten over being the face of the Skrull invasion yet?

How's everybody feel about the announced/probable Marvel cancellations this week? With Venom outright cancelled and Captain Marvel absent from November solicitations, I feel that they might be getting a Marvel NOW relaunch. No opinion on Captain Marvel, but I would love it if Bunn would get off Venom. Remender crafted

Really? I thought there was just the Barney Barton issue and the annual. Pizza dog was June.

Next issue's coming in either late September or early October, I think. It's a great book but DAMN I wish we got it more often.

The man took Hammett and Chandler's efficiency of language and sharpened it to a point, and his characters always came out richer because of it.

Friend @avclub-c404a5adbf90e09631678b13b05d9d7a:disqus , you are a true gentleman. Thank you!

Yeah, Rucka's departure from Checkmate really sunk the book. God, I miss it. The post-Infinite Crisis era of DC was probably the last time I was super-excited to read non-Batman DC titles.

I picked up the new Green Lantern: New Guardians creative team's first issue.

I stopped reading Wolverine and the X-Men during a recent culling of my
pull list. I liked it well enough, but I'd rather have a readable book
focusing on the real X-Men instead of the students (which it looks like
I'll be getting with Amazing X-Men). Also, the arc with Dog in the
Savage Land went on a bit too long.

It's really a pity that such a great book is doing so poorly. Have you checked it out?

^This. Events have to jump through too many marketing-related hoops to tell an interesting story.

True story: I cried while reading issues 30 and 31.

All I read this week was Secret Avengers. It fills the "Superheroes-in-a-Spy-Book" hole left by the cancellation of Checkmate years back.  The book is great, so I'm surprised that sales are such shit. I thought the previous volume was pretty popular.

I'd add Chew to the list of Image successes. That book is consistently entertaining. Lay and Guilroy just passed the halfway mark of the series and I haven't been disappointed once.

Why does he yell out his own name? Is he Dr. Benway from Naked Lunch as played by Roy Scheider??

May I tell you about a derivative creation of mine named "Likely Cat?" He comments on the likelihood of different events occurring.

There was no real point to my post, @avclub-7f87bb91e1944c0485c54044a3d85c44:disqus , I just wanted to bait Lying Cat and deride you for not loving Saga.
