How much input do you think Didio had on that? Like I said, I don't usually associate his work with enjoyment.

AND ALL IS RIGHT WITH THE WORLD.

@JokersNuts:disqus WHAT DID THEY DO TO HIM?!?!?!?

You've seen Darkseid Minus The New Gods, right?

@JokersNuts:disqus It just gets better as it goes. Like I said above, I think that's due to the fact that NEW GODS and MISTER MIRACLE become the central titles as the stories continue,

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

As fucked up as this might sound, I thought Giffen/Didio did an amazing job of replicating the energy, excitement, and innovation of Kirby's DC stories with their New 52 O.M.A.C. book. I was shocked that Didio could be so integrally involved in something so… fun.

And Darkseid is just an amazing character that has been repeatedly misused throughout the years. I've refused to see what he's been like in the New 52.

LIGHTRAY AND ORION ARE MY BOYS.

Was anyone else reminded of this fine Onion article upon reading Mr. Bowie's spiel?

@avclub-9b60cf1b2106f886f17cba2b1a0359b9:disqus I take it you're not a fan of the crossovers? I keep wanting to know which X-Men crossovers are worth reading, but I keep seeming to come to the conclusion, "None of them."

@disqus_ucwsDOcMoR:disqus I highly recommend any of the runs listed above, especially Grell. He managed to write a Mature Readers Green Arrow that—apart from a cameo from an out-of-costume Hal Jordan—remained completely removed from the superheroes of the DC Universe. A truly remarkable run!

After switching to trades 3 years ago, I have no clue what kind of ads are in comics now. I assume they're all focused on the 25-48 demographic? (Children don't read comics: http://www.theouthousers.co…

Here's a question: when, in your opinion, does the X-Men get worth reading?

The Young X-Men are like 18, right?

@disqus_ucwsDOcMoR:disqus Is Lemire's Green Arrow anything like pre-New52 Green Arrow? I miss the Grell/Dixon/Smith/Winnick Green Arrow and want him back. :(

@avclub-7f720bbf75ca938c6adcb570530a0ce4:disqus Yeah, I'm really wondering how retailers will survive the growth of the digital comics market. But as comics are all colored digitally and are (in the case of comics like Saga) drawn using digital means, viewing a comic on a tablet screen just seems like the natural way

I transitioned from floppies to trades 3 years ago and then trades to digital a year ago. Comics take up way too much space not to just buy a god damn tablet and enjoy your comics electronically.

Dixon's Green Arrow run is definitely a testament to his skill as a writer. Man was a conservative Christian who provided one of the greatest runs on comics' most prolific liberal.

Not a jab at Chuck Dixon. Look at my handle; I'm obviously nostalgic for a time when Tim Drake was someone I gave a shit about. I just acknowledge his limitations.
