I'll admit that I can't get past my sentimental attachment to "Nub Yub" because we played it in middle-school jazz band and it was rockin'. I'm pretty sure I still have the tenor sax sheet music today.
The restrictions thing started off as a goof—the whole "can I make it to the end of the train level while only using rocket launchers?" thing I mentioned upthread. But then it became a bit less daffy and more of a challenge. Some of these weapons are great for some uses, but not so good for others. In that case, can…
For years now, he's been the only one who has any idea what a good beat sounds like (yeah, I'm including you in this, RZA).
Yeah, but that second sentence is part of the "looking back on it, this album is good!" effort, which, no, no it isn't. It's a lousy album. Even Boot Camp Click's craptacular For the People spawned two good songs.
Headz weren't reddee for Remedy.
"Time has been kind to Wu-Tang Forever."
Definitely. He was even better than Aniston, I'd say.
Those shakes were goddamn delicious. Also: We used to call it Satan Burger because the black building/red flames color scheme evoked a certain hellishness.
My friend and I always had Al on whatever team we used solely because he had the hardest slap shot in the game. He was basically our mascot who was also a bit of a thug.
Oh man, that last hallway in Cavern. That was such a long level, and when you hadn't really mastered it yet—or even figured out your plan of attack—and then finally open that last door, you feel like you've finally done it, and then nope, you're dead. I think I finally beat it for the first time by deciding to just…
She was great in that 30 Rock, which is really saying something because the pace and sensibility of that show is not an easy thing for actors to handle.
"I better not do any, I dunno…LUNGES!"
Wow. Really good call on the Dennis thing.
Al Iafrate or GTFO.
I remember how long it took just to clear that first room. Oops, got mowed down by the autoturret as soon as I stepped out of the elevator! Oops, got mowed down by the second autoturret! Oops, got mowed down by the third autoturret! Oops, got shot up by the guards while I was trying to set up my shot on the autoturret!
I really like playing the train level, but it was absolutely infuriating how many times Natalya got blown up because she would exit the train and just…stand there.
Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey for me. My friends and I got really competitive on that goofy-ass game. We all could score a goal in 3 seconds off a face-off, so even a 3-goal lead with 10 seconds to go wasn't safe. That shit was tense—and fun—as hell.
The fog distance really got terrible in later levels. Like, it feels like that's how they ramped up the difficulty level, which is lame.
The good Shadows levels are really fun. The bad ones are a goddamn chore.
