LL won that battle hands-down, but Kool Moe Dee had the funniest bit: His video for "Death Blow" parodied the "Mama Said Knock You Out" video, but with some fat palooka in the LL Cool J role. The best part was when said palooka used a See-N-Say.
Steampunk'd, as it were.
Wicky-wicki-wick fresh cowboy from the wesside.
It's all about Allen Payne's commitment to the character and the moment. I lose it every time he picks up the drum.
"But I built my career on being a hardcore badass."
The shit he did with CPO was cool. But yeah, without good beats, he got left in the dust.
"Something 2 Dance 2" is funny as fuck.
"Won't that destroy my rap career?"
Dre didn't study architecture, though. That was Ice Cube.
"Dammit, Ice Cube! I'm sick of you being so dark when I'm so impish and whimsical."
"Hey, everybody, I've got a brand new mantra: Oooommmmmmm Eazy-E'll be hanging from a tree."
If anything, you need me! You're just a baby!
Brilliant.

Yo, on the serious two-and-a-half percent tip, the second letter of the English alphabet is B. Think about it.

It doesn't have "substance" per se, but "If It Ain't Ruff" is some grade-A braggadocio that's always fun to listen to. MC Ren is the shit.
The Bomb Squad—in particular Hank Shocklee—have said that Professor Griff's record collection was ridiculous. Like, any break or sample that they could think of, Griff had it. So in the context of production, Griff certainly had some input. Not to say they couldn't have gotten it done without him, but he definitely…
Kane's verse is incredible.
Nation of Millions alone gets them a lifetime pass, it being the greatest album in hip-hop history. They can put out as many wack records that I'll never pay attention to as they want; their legacy is fully cemented.
