A bunch of those were on 2015's list and we avoid repeats.

"Very little about the mainstream"…did you actually READ what's up top? Oliver and I were all over cape and cowl stuff from DC in particular.

It's almost like it got covered repeatedly elsewhere.

Endless Event of Doom: a new album from Marvel. With Bendis on lead vocals, Spender on guitar, Dan Slott on drums, and Chris Sims off-beat with a tambourine. Managed by Brevoort.

Zdarsky's run on Jughead was awesome, but North's turn has left me so soured I can't even read it.

That was in my top 15. Trimming it down to this few was a painful exercise, believe me.

You don't need to go back that far for Faith, really. You can easily start with the latest #1, which is a lot more accessible.

Oh man for that length I'm honestly not sure I can get you a better rate…that's an amazing price point, assuming perfect binding, etc. Drop me a line whenever, and bundle up!

Seconds by Bryan Lee O'Malley? More towards cooking than horticulture, but it's a little slightly supernatural slice of life thing. Maybe something by Lucy Knisley?

Friend, I'm 90% sure I can get you a better rate than that for your books, depending on size/length. DM me on Twitter or something, I want to save you some cash.

I will definitely check them out.

He might have, but given his shitty attitude about women and POC in the industry, it wouldn't surprise me if he surrounds himself with people who are equally shitty. Not to mention that UK comics are very different than US comics and he didn't specify WHO he was talking to, which is the root of the problem to begin

My apologies for that, it genuinely sounded to me like you thought his was the only voice of it's kind. His voice is a regular and steady one, but I disagreed with him enough (and didn't respect his clear biases) that I'm not going to miss him as much as others, including you, are.

I hear you, I'm avoiding emails like I puked in their car.

There's no ethical way to cover a company that you have a vested interest in succeeding OR failing, honestly. Him stepping down as super classy and the right thing to do.

Put us all in a cage match with Dan Slott, it's more efficient.

Keep in mind Marvel also hired a comics "journalist" who stalked, doxxed, and threatened a woman out of the industry and both CA and Marvel still pay his salary. There's so many reasons to hate just how small and interconnected the industry is.

Knowing the Jasons, I think it's coming. But that's another one I trade wait on.

It's more "If I write comics I can't write articles about the company I work for or their competitors". Which is totally valid. I don't cover Ladies' Night Anthology here, and I avoid covering people that are my friends as much as I can. Since LNA is far from competing with DC and Marvel (or any other real
