I'm not huge on Danvers as Captain Marvel, but I would love to see Diana team up with Carol OR Monica. So much badass all in one place. Maybe call Barda to make it a party.

Anyone who has Wonder Woman hold a teddy bear while Aquaman pilots a jet clearly doesn't understand either character all that well. I dropped the Finch's book so fast it caught fire.
*insert Lana Yuuuupppp gif that I'm too lazy to go look up*
Are you reading Material or Wolf? Material in particular makes you WORK but I'm really enjoying it.
Ales Kot does a lot of destroying with tweets, he's one of my top 10 "good decision to follow on Twitter" people.
a) Disqus is legit the worst, we are in agreement there. No worries.
b) I definitely did interpret it as "no proof, I don't believe you" and if that's not what you intended, ok. But when your very first response is to ask for a link, in the context of the complete lack of support most women in the industry get it's…
Some of it was, some of it wasn't. But it's not always going to be in public, and demanding proof that it happened makes it seem like the only way to believe it is if you can witness it yourself. At what point does that mean that any private harassment is invalid? Do you need to see that Sims threatened a woman to…
Here's the thing though: if he threatens people's jobs, harasses them and says he's going to dox them…do you expect to find any of this online? Do you think he's doing most of this publicly? Some of it may happen out in the open but much of it is in subtweets or behind closed doors. And the "I don't see him do…
It was done prior to my work at the AV Club and under a pseudonym (because I was getting a lot of threats at the time) so I'm not going to link to it. But I wrote about the "Doc Ock in Peter's body maybe assaulting a woman" issue (as part of a larger piece) and he came into the comments section and harassed me for…
I hadn't seen the Outhousers one, thanks for sending that along.
I'm one of the people he harassed.
He has a history of harrassing (mostly female) reviewers and critics that don't like his stuff. Following them around and threatening their jobs, making wild accusations, etc. It's not as egregious as some of what Edmonson and the unnamed DC editor have done, but he's a "missing stair" in the comics community for…
*cough* Edmonson *cough* Slott *cough*
Bummer! I'm still hoping they'll release some of the pin up illustrations as prints or posters eventually. The cover is amazing, and I love all of Jeffrey Veregge's work, too. His site is full of stuff I'd pay good money for if it was available.
The book was originally a Kickstarter effort, but you can buy it on Amazon (at least in the US). http://www.amazon.ca/MOONSH… It really is an excellent anthology, above and beyond expectations.
Honestly, I'm not looking forward to the Agent Carter folks taking over Carol. One of my biggest beefs with the new Captain Marvel has been the lack of diversity (and I'm biased because Rhodey's my favorite Marvel character, but POC get brushed off as sidekicks way too much already) and Agent Carter didn't do any…
You should definitely check out Walker's blog. He writes a lot about blaxploitation films and how kung fu movies from the '70s and '80s influenced him, it's really fascinating. http://www.badazzmofo.com/
This has been one of my biggest arguments about the Carol Corps and Kamala Corps in particular, but a slew of new characters in general: I don't know how much of the following is cult of personality around the creator. I think that Kamala might be a touch safer than Carol in that way, but I just don't believe that…
Like I said, I think that the industry at large has issues with any sort of marginalized group (gender, race, PWD, LGBTQ+). Walker though is one of the people who's fighting tooth and nail to address it in nuanced and complicated ways, so I really like promoting his work.
