Tom S, I've never understood the argument that Ambersons is secretly the better film than Kane. At various points in my life, Kane has blown me away philosophically, psychologically, and formally, depending on my interests at the moment—Ambersons strikes me as a good movie with some great moments. Honest question, are

Unmovable objection—that is a cut above, Viowpbn.

The McGimmick narrative continues to fascinate me. I remember seeing that first unregistered post, and thinking it was right on the money—it even crossed my mind that the post had been deployed by staff to counter a particularly tangible upswing of out-of-control gimmickry.

holy shit that comment was a mess. i'm tired.

agreed; that, Hermione's memory-charm bit early on, and Ron's gaze while sitting at the piano are the best bits in my opinion. All the best of this film came its wordless passages, for all the good and bad that implies.

and that, alexing, is hands down my favorite gerbil-related comment yet.

If only she had shared some gerbil facts.
That would have been a show.

That soundtrack album played a major part in my formative years.
No senor, Don Quixote y Sancho Panza no estan aqui!

These cats gave one to Return of the King.
If they're interested in doing one of those reward the author/franchise deals they're so famous for, I think Toy Story deserves it.

Ebbetts mono for years, but strictly because it was the first I found.

oh shit, you're not even the first to bypass the gimmick. apologies.

well, I'll go with the obvious:
    Fuck you Downfall. Conform!
