And how could they not go with "breaking point?" What the hell, Tipping Bad?

If he wrote a regular column for the site, that'd be fuckin sweet.

@avclub-3956255baad7102c6e2eb5b5b18ab854:disqus Maybe he winds up with all of Walt's money somehow, and he invents a new wealthy benefactor persona, and he comes to adopt Brock from foster care wearing a long bushy beard and a top hat, and they leave together and have magical adventures.

Agreed. At first I was a little disappointed because it seemed like she wasn't going to use that iconic chord progression, but it was even more effective to hear it kick in at the chorus.

That's actually a really hilarious and fantastic conceit, Thomas R. I know it's faint praise, but you'd almost definitely make a better writer than anyone involved with this show.

Also take care of our random egg or we'll fucking kill you. We good?

So the gimmick is that you use Qs improperly?
    Is that, uh… fulfilling?

Bale was an absolute revelation in Batman Begins—lip service had been given to the "Wayne is the mask" thing before, but that's the first time it really hit home for me. Everyone has their nostalgia, sure, but no prior incarnation can touch that scene where he had to play drunk at his birthday. And as much as people

Probably just doing their part to combat the deeply misguided yet surprisingly prevalent notion that because heckling is commonplace that makes it okay.

    Awesome, great job!

I'm pretty much with you. This probably mostly speaks to my limitations as a critic, but every episode has been a new notch below F for me for the last few weeks.

@avclub-ecbdad96460f85751944de9d6c2d50fe:disqus Sure, but reactions aside, I'm just saying that it's not a terribly elegant communication strategy. See: nobody in this thread discussing the point you were making.

It strikes me that the diaeresis may be distracting from the content of your post rather than serving it. Just a friendly heads up.

I think the key word is "his"—while Wright's other works were stand-out films grounded in standard movie conventions, Scott Pilgrim was an ecstatically pure distillation of the specific sense of humor and kinetic energy that elevated the other films. It is his masterpiece.

    exactly, blanked on her name

The kids have all been complete idiots from day one. That Joe character is hands down the least believable nerd-genius this side of a bond girl.

He killed a guy and then lied to his wife about it so he could sleep with her, Barbie's an asshole.

I'm genuinely glad you appreciated that, because it was tempting—all the more so because I started drinking halfway through the episode.
